Preserve the dated 21 September 2026 dependency inventory as a planning follow-up to the approved security stack. The inventory is historical input; unselected upgrades and JSON 3 require fresh artifact, advisory and compatibility review under #747.

This branch now inherits final stack top 53f531c2fb640c968e3d6f7612ec7c1d2422aa3b, including merged #758/policy #3, the corrected five-layer plan and one 0.55.6 bugfix release selected by the required version gate. Its parent-relative diff contains only the four historical planning artifacts and the explicit deferral note; it changes no executable dependencies or proof mapping.

It is outside the five members of native stack #757. Leave the five dependency PRs unmerged as requested. After the stack is integrated normally, retarget this planning follow-up to dev and refresh the broader inventory. Keep #747 and the broader active OpenSpec change open.

Refs #747.

Review in Change Stack →

📝 Summary

Summary

  • Updates OpenSpec change dependency-update-consolidation to plan the approved stack: dev ← #744 ← #727 ← #752 ← #754 ← #753.
  • Records GitPython 3.2.0 and Hatchling 1.32.4 in the Python layer, keeps Jekyll 4.4.1 compatible with JSON 2.x, and defers JSON 3 and broader dependency updates.
  • Retains #756 as completed historical work. The task plan makes clear that its evidence does not establish readiness for the new stack.
  • Keeps #747 open. The plan requires fresh final-head evidence and security, compatibility, authority, and publication gates before promotion.

CLI and API impact

  • No CLI commands, options, or defaults change.
  • The validation record states that no public Python API, analyzer contract, module manifest, or immutable fixture changes.
  • No module signing or version bump is reported.

Testing and quality gates

  • The OpenSpec plan lists contract, compatibility, security, dependency parity, signature, and final-head checks as pending.
  • The author reports that selected strict OpenSpec validation, configured Markdown lint, planned Requirements evidence, and normal pre-commit checks passed. These reports do not establish final stack readiness.
  • No current contract-test or coverage result is provided. Release readiness and hosted authority remain unverified.

Review triage completed in 240e2cba80d0daed3df5863f6f25056ec0bd2ee3:

  • Fixed both dependency-inventory findings: optional-extra traversal and conditional incoming-edge evidence. Validation matches all 347 baseline and 344 candidate edges against the original hash-bound snapshots, including Python-specific marker checks.
  • Rejected the Markdown line-length annotation as a lint/correctness defect: MD013 is explicitly disabled and configured lint passes. The thread records the rationale.
  • Reviewed CI annotations. Runner migration/Node-action notices and the empty pip-cache warning concern unchanged workflow configuration; the absent Code Review upload belongs to the planning-only path with no Python review target. No unrelated workflow changes were made.
  • The separate Trusted Requirements Authority failure remains a maintainer authorization prerequisite. The old head had no matching authority comment; approval must bind to the final current commit/tree. No authority approval was fabricated or security gate bypassed.

Strict OpenSpec, configured Markdown lint, planned Requirements evidence, and normal pre-commit passed. No candidate packages were installed, no dependency versions changed, and implementation tasks remain unchecked. The matching internal wiki corrections were pushed to its existing PR. Your PR metadata and ready-for-review state were preserved.

💡 Codex Review

"representative_path": [
"isolated-code-review",

P2 Badge Preserve isolated Code Review dependency paths

The isolated path makes astroid appear to be a root package even though requirements/code-review/requirements.in declares only Pylint and the locked file contains Astroid transitively through it; the same synthetic two-element path is used for the other isolated transitives, while packages shared with the primary graph expose no isolated path at all. When the proposed implementation refreshes or audits Pylint 4.0.8, this inventory therefore cannot identify which Code Review parent introduced a package or show changed dependency paths, despite the change spec requiring path context for every isolated package. Preserve the isolated graph's incoming edges and versioned paths separately from the primary graph. docs/agent-rules/40-openspec-and-tdd.mdL96-L100

Core PR #755 fails on unchanged dev dependencies and a versioning
fixture that stages Git metadata. This owner-authorized slice of #747
upgrades the five necessary frozen packages, restricts fixture staging
to generated projects, and isolates the smoke fallback from inherited
unverified seed caches. The Semgrep sentinel follows the lock while
retaining its security floor, MCP and no-waiver checks.

Frozen updates: PyJWT 2.15.1, urllib3 2.8.0, virtualenv 21.11.0, Semgrep
1.179.0 and python-discovery 1.6.0. Module/release identity, verifier
dependencies, workflows, gate policy and trust exceptions are unchanged.

**Signed final head:** `9ed629582d5bdfe4a93610178b95772f58a1c2a3`, tree
`982b8ffe2f2e56c56f46340dff9328c8d090fdfd`. The isolated JWT probe tests
the hash-pinned delivery wheel in a separate temporary target, retaining
the trusted verifier's base environment. Frozen parent assertions verify
its bound version, unchanged caller options and expiry on reuse. The
cache probe preserves its process-boundary assertions.

**Authenticated RED:** authored head
`0f9d114be7e4fd70083d0c1a101590c2ab9ca06d`, Requirements run
[37896570864](https://github.com/nold-ai/specfact-cli/actions/runs/37896570864),
artifact 11600054315, ZIP byte digest
`sha256:b30ddc50df79e0ceb1465baaec8f3ab8872f60e5b4f9c4d458c470651d4befa0`.
The actual report passes RED with no findings. The selected tests,
mapping and acceptance record remain unchanged through final
publication. Earlier rejected snapshots are retained in TDD_EVIDENCE.md
and are not substituted for this proof.

**Validation:** published-head provenance and local native final
reconciliation pass (verified maturity, zero findings). Twenty-five
scoped tests pass. Ruff check/format, project BasedPyright (zero
errors), scoped Markdown/YAML, selected strict OpenSpec, coherent export
and lock checks pass. Self-review has zero blocking findings, with
explicit dispositions for two baseline warnings, four unchanged AST
suggestions and one probe-readability advisory. The unchanged reviewed
graph previously passed both advisory gates, trust/licenses and fifteen
security/control probes; current hosted gates and full-suite/matrix
results remain independently required.

All-change OpenSpec retains the known unrelated governance delta failure
(39/40). Prior broad local runs had environment failures and nested
Hatch graph drift; those results are not frozen delivery proof. Artifact
screening retains provenance-verification and optional Semgrep Pro
limitations. Upgrading cannot sanitize external previously compromised
Hatch/user caches; this change does not purge shared caches.

Current-head hosted final execution, exact-head human authority and
completed required reviews remain necessary before integration. Refs
#747 and #755. Original #748's broader consolidation stays open and
unchanged. This slice does not close #747, archive the broad change or
implement planned workflow runtime. After integration, refresh the
internal wiki's merged/dependency status and rebuild its graph; its
mirror was updated and rebuilt on the authoring host on 9 October 2026.

P2 Badge Persist the captured rollback heads

Record the six original PR head SHAs in committed evidence (or another durable remote) rather than relying only on refs/codex-security-backup/.... Those refs are local Git metadata and do not accompany this commit—as a repo-wide search shows, only #744 and #727 have recorded head SHAs—so in a fresh clone or after the remaining branches are force-pushed, the documented rollback procedure cannot recover the original #748/#752/#754/#753 heads despite task 2.1 being marked complete.

Bind affected-consumer validation to the module workflows.

The OpenSpec artifacts require affected-consumer and Python-matrix validation, but they do not identify nold-ai/specfact-cli-modules or its capsule workflows. Those workflows install specfact-cli==0.55.4, while this proposal plans 0.55.5. Add both capsule paths to the promotion-matrix evidence and use 0.55.5 where candidate validation applies.

Track the consumer pin update before promotion.

Task 2.7 does not require affected consumers to use candidate 0.55.5. The linked module repository still installs 0.55.4 in pyproject.toml, the customer capsule, and the trusted-reviewer capsule. Update those pins and validate both capsule workflows against 0.55.5 before promotion.

Add an explicit module-signing gate.

When this change reaches /opsx:archive, add module signing to the final tasks. Line 33 requires strict signatures, and Line 35 requires signed commits, but neither identifies module artifacts. Line 39 already covers worktree cleanup.

As per path instructions: “For /opsx:archive (Archive change): Include module signing and cleanup in final tasks.”

Adopt jekyll-relative-links 0.9.1 and verify rewritten links, included
navigation, rebuild cache behavior and configured base URLs.

Native stack #757: `dev <- #744 <- #727 <- #752 <- #754 <- #753`. This
PR retains its number and original dependency branch; its signed final
head is `53f531c2fb640c968e3d6f7612ec7c1d2422aa3b`, tree
`ac1efb2f07256768a339400449c7c1fa9ac9b878`. The protected root is merged
prerequisite #758 at `30f98cc14e074802a9f21c6b84e69e743eee6442`;
[organization policy #3](nold-ai/.github#3) is
merged.

All required checks pass and GitHub reports CLEAN on this exact head
(verified 11 October 2026 Europe/Berlin). [Ordinary
CI](https://github.com/nold-ai/specfact-cli/actions/runs/38120339133)
and [all three native Requirements
jobs](https://github.com/nold-ai/specfact-cli/actions/runs/38120339111)
pass. The unedited [exact-head/tree member
grant](#753 (comment))
was posted by `djm81`; protected Requirements authority passes. No
unresolved review threads remain.

The stale-target cache control fails against 0.8.0 and passes with 0.9.1
at root and /preview. All redirect/feed/relative probes and both
production documentation builds pass. Conservative regeneration changes
only relative-links; CI checks its artifact hash.

The complete native plan
`sha256:94e049b71b00de0d52b4afa8b7ce9b08729bc97ae5ae379db1682af179125461`
is identical across all five final heads. Fresh authored [RED
38119009577](https://github.com/nold-ai/specfact-cli/actions/runs/38119009577)
precedes the implementation; mapped test bytes remain unchanged. Each
final head independently retains passing producer/consumer JUnit,
verified lifecycle, complete plan equality and original RED provenance.
Historical #756 evidence is preserved.

Full assembled local smart testing: 3,291 passed, 9 existing skips, 2
warnings in 179.08 seconds; unchanged 64% coverage. Frozen parity, all
three Python audits, trust/licenses/Socket, independent SAST, strict
signatures, version/PyPI-ahead, Python 3.11-3.13 runtime/wheel checks
and repository quality gates pass. Each head's two normalized installed
inventories contain the same 180 package identities and its paired SPDX
SBOMs are byte-identical; authoritative typing has zero errors with
1,522 existing warnings. The full changed-Python SpecFact review has
zero errors/new regressions; its 21 unchanged fixture warnings and 3
information findings retain the narrow documented baseline exceptions in
TDD_EVIDENCE.md.

Leave all five dependency PRs unmerged as requested. Broader inventory
and JSON 3 migration remain deferred under open #747; #748 is a dated
planning follow-up outside this stack. No tag or release is published.
Exact grants expire 2026-10-13T07:08:30Z; head/tree/base changes require
fresh validation and grants.

Promotion: merge the reviewed native stack normally; validate the
integrated dev-to-main SHA with required
Requirements/signature/quality/security gates, 0.55.6 source/artifact
parity, strict live PyPI-ahead and both documentation deployment paths.
Archive completed prerequisite tracking and clean worktrees after
reviewed integration; retain the broader active change while accepted
work remains. Rollback refs preserve original and intermediate heads;
use explicit leases for unmerged branches or a normally reviewed revert
for merged prerequisites. Never reset protected shared history.
