The ASCII emblems did not look like the club logo. They were derived from the Braille badge by averaging brightness, which blurred the eyes, and the small one was a hand-drawn smiley.
scripts/generate-emblems.mjsnow starts from the logo itself (scripts/emblem-face.svg, the face without the lettered band). It thins the strokes to line art, then picks, for every cell, the character that brings the blurred rendering of the whole grid closest to the blurred line art, so strokes continue across cells. Glyphs are rendered from JetBrains Mono, as inscripts/generate-glyphs.mjs. Only the pupils may use@, and the face is weighted three times as much as the rings. The large emblem also writes the logo's lettered band: "Computer Association of NBT" along the top and the tagline along the bottom. Each word is a straight run of upright letters (horizontal, diagonal, or vertical, whichever drifts least from the band), so words stay whole. These cells are fixed first and the rings are fitted around them.ascii-emblem-large.txtascii-emblem-medium.txtascii-emblem-small.txtascii-emblem-tiny.txtThe medium emblem now fits an 80 × 24 terminal.
ascii-logo.txtis gone: below 14 rows the startup writes plainNBTCA, and Unicode terminals that cannot fit a Braille badge fall back to these emblems.scripts/generate-art.mjsno longer generates emblems.Validation:
npm run checkpasses exceptnpm audit, which already fails onmainfor vite 6.4.4 (GHSA-8g5g-mxqh-grgj). Checked in a pseudoterminal at 80×40, 80×24, 80×17, and 80×14 withLANG=C.
