Description

Cut release 0.34.0.

  • Bump pyproject.toml to 0.34.0 (and uv.lock).
  • Move [Unreleased] to [0.34.0] - 2026-10-16 in CHANGELOG.md, with one short "so what?" entry per PR merged since 0.33.0.

Why MINOR (0.34.0), not PATCH (0.33.1)

Signal: Row 3 -- new user-facing config / manifest fields (plus Row 6, new install target).

Pre-1.0 framing, so no major escalation.

BREAKING

Changelog housekeeping

Issue and approved scope

Issue: N/A -- maintainer-run release cut (routine release maintenance via the cut-release skill).

Human scope-approval comment: version pick (v0.34.0) and sanitized changelog approved by Daniel Meppiel (@danielmeppiel) in-session at the skill's two operator checkpoints.

Does this PR complete the issue, or what remains? Completes the release prep; tagging remains (see Post-merge).

Type of change

  • Bug fix
  • New feature
  • Documentation
  • Maintenance / refactor

Testing

  • Tested locally
  • All existing tests pass
  • Added tests for new functionality (if applicable)

Validation run on this branch (up to date with main):

  • bash .agents/skills/cut-release/scripts/verify-lint-mirror.sh -- PASS (ruff check, ruff format --check, pylint R0801, auth-signals).
  • uv lock --check -- PASS. uv.lock change is limited to the apm-cli version line.
  • Test suite not run (release cut changes only version strings and CHANGELOG).

Spec conformance (OpenAPM v0.1)

  • Spec edit: docs/src/content/docs/specs/openapm-v0.1.md updated
    (new/changed <a id="req-XXX"></a> anchor + prose + Appendix C
    row).
  • Manifest edit: docs/src/content/docs/specs/manifests/openapm-v0.1.requirements.yml
    updated.
  • Test edit: a @pytest.mark.req("req-XXX") test under
    tests/spec_conformance/ added or extended.
  • CONFORMANCE.{md,json} regenerated via
uv run --extra dev python -m tests.spec_conformance.gen_statement
    and committed.
  • N/A -- this PR does not change OpenAPM-observable behaviour.

Comment thread CHANGELOG.md
- `APM_EXTRA_CA_BUNDLE` adds corporate PEM certificates to APM's package-management HTTPS on top of the default trust roots, so private registries and TLS-inspecting proxies work without replacing the machine trust store. (by @TameTheGame, closes #2034, #2741)
- Agent primitives (`*.agent.md`) accept an optional `user-invocable: false` frontmatter field (alias `visibility: internal`) to mark an agent as reachable only through handoffs or subagent calls on harnesses that support it. Verbatim-copy targets preserve the field; Codex and Kiro warn instead of silently dropping it. (by @richard-fowles-epam, closes #3132, #3133)
- `apm pack` can emit a GitHub Copilot CLI marketplace via `marketplace.outputs: {copilot: {}}`, preserving local paths, remote subdirectories, tag refs, and full commit pins; Claude and Codex defaults are unchanged. (by @aryansk, #2600)
- New `grok-bot` install target deploys skill packages to `agent-data/workflows/<skill-name>/` at project and user (`--global`) scope. An explicit `--target grok-bot` fails only when nothing in the install is compatible; other incompatible dependencies warn. (by @sergio-sisternes-epam, closes #3083, #3106)
Bump pyproject.toml and uv.lock to 0.34.0 and move [Unreleased] to [0.34.0] - 2026-10-16 with one entry per user-facing PR merged since v0.33.0. Lint mirror (ruff check + format, pylint R0801, auth-signals) green locally.

Post-merge: tag v0.34.0 to trigger the release workflow.
