- Provider model ids keep their vendor prefix in config but are resolved per backend: matched prefixes are stripped (case-insensitive) and foreign or malformed ones (`meta-llama/...`, `anthropic/`, `/foo`) skip to the next backend instead of an HTTP 4xx, so the fallback chain runs through to local; a custom OpenAI `endpoint` (e.g. OpenRouter) receives the configured id verbatim.
- WebChat writes are moved off the agent thread: frames are queued and the lws service thread is woken (`lws_cancel_service`), marking writable only from `EVENT_WAIT_CANCELLED`, which stops the poll-set race against a closing socket.
