Follow-up to #21. I ran every command in the README from a clean checkout and fixed the ones that broke.

Fixes

  • korg rewind on an empty journal: it printed a raw anyhow error, plus a full stack trace when RUST_BACKTRACE was set. It now says nothing has been recorded yet and points to korg --goal / korg demo. It still exits 1.
  • Swarm workers crashed after an interrupted run: git worktree add -B korg-branch-pkg-* failed with cannot force update the branch … used by worktree. The harness had deleted the stale worktree directory, but git still had it registered. It now runs git worktree prune first.
  • korg --goal inside this repo called Ollama: the committed korg.toml had default_llm = "ollama", but --help and the README say the default is the offline deterministic provider. The default is now deterministic; --provider ollama still opts in.
  • demo.tape: the rewind step pointed at a journal that doesn't exist on a fresh clone, and the last line advertised cargo install korg, which isn't on crates.io. The tape now creates a real journal with a hidden campaign on fixtures/honest-demo-repo, rewinds it (32 → 5 events), and ends with the clone + build command. demo.gif / demo.mp4 / demo.webp re-rendered.
  • README: notes that rewind needs a populated journal and that --goal runs a real cargo check per persona, which takes minutes on a large repo.

Verification

  • cargo test --workspace --no-fail-fast: 299 passed, 0 failed
  • clippy correctness gate and cargo fmt --check: clean
  • Full korg --goal campaign ran to completion (exit 0) on the fixture repo (55s) and on this repo (cold, about 8 min)

…, tamper GIF

- One-line pitch: tamper-evident, SHA-256-chained ledger for AI agents
- 30-second quickstart: build korg-verify, verify a real session ledger,
rewrite one event, watch the verifier name it (run verbatim from a fresh
  clone; cold build ~10s)
- tamper.gif + tamper.tape: real korg-verify run catching a one-line edit
- "Validated across three vendors (N=3)" table: Claude Code, Codex CLI,
Grok Heavy adapters with their passing test counts
- Add LICENSE-APACHE and fix the README license links (LICENSE-MIT and
LICENSE-APACHE were dead links; Cargo.toml already declares MIT OR Apache-2.0)
- Drop the stale "175 tests" badge (Status section reports 300+)

Found by running every README command from a clean checkout:

- korg rewind on an empty journal printed a raw anyhow error (and a full
stack trace under RUST_BACKTRACE). It now explains that nothing has been
  recorded yet and points at `korg --goal` / `korg demo`; exits 1 either way.
- Swarm workers failed with "cannot force update the branch
'korg-branch-pkg-*'" after any interrupted run: the harness deleted the
stale worktree directory but git still held the branch. Run
  `git worktree prune` before `worktree add -B`.
- The committed korg.toml set default_llm = "ollama", so `korg --goal` run
inside this repo tried localhost:11434 even though --help and the README
say the default is the hermetic deterministic provider. Default it to
"deterministic"; `--provider ollama` still opts in.
- demo.tape: the rewind step targeted a journal that does not exist on a
fresh clone, and the outro advertised `cargo install korg` (not on
crates.io). The tape now seeds a real journal with a hidden campaign on
the fixture repo, rewinds it, and ends with the clone+build command.
  demo.gif/mp4/webp re-rendered.
- README: note that rewind needs a populated journal and that --goal runs a
real per-persona cargo check (minutes on a large repo).

Verified: cargo test --workspace (299 passed), clippy correctness gate,
cargo fmt --check, and a full `korg --goal` campaign to completion on both
the fixture repo (55s) and this repo.

Bump the korg runtime crates from 0.1.0 to 0.2.0 (korg-bridge keeps its own
bridge-v* line) and cut the [0.2.0] changelog section from Unreleased, filling
in the merged work it was missing (#8-#22).
