`[profile.test] debug = true` gives every test binary full DWARF; CI only needs line numbers for a backtrace. `CARGO_PROFILE_TEST_DEBUG=line-tables-only` in the workflow env keeps the profile unchanged for local builds. Expect shorter links and a smaller rust-cache; the first run after merge refills both caches (the env is part of their keys), so judge it on the second.
