I’m building 1puni: One Person Unicorn. A one-person powerhouse assisted by intelligence. I choose what we build, get deep into the engineering, and take responsibility for what comes out. The agents do increasingly substantial work. I give them plenty of opinions.
I like small systems that do a lot. Understand the problem, build the useful thing, and let the abstractions earn their place. I love a good interface; I’m less keen on maintaining six layers of architecture for something that could have been a function.
My current rabbit hole is engineering with intelligence. Models can interpret information and turn it into useful structured data. That opens up different ways to build systems, and I want to explore those properly.
I work across product, backend, frontend and infrastructure. Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Svelte, SQL, machine learning, Bitcoin; whatever the thing needs. Functional languages have a special place in my heart. Java knows what it did.
