Summary

  • Adds MCP-first multi-agent support (serve / mcp / install --ide / status) so Cursor, Claude, Codex, Gemini, Antigravity, Windsurf, Kimi, OpenClaw, Goose, Warp, Copilot, Grok, and OpenCode share one local Turso runtime.
  • Progressive MCP tools (memory_search → memory_get → memory_write), platformSource tagging, and OpenCode preferSharedRuntime attach to a healthy foreign serve.
  • Host install writes correct official config paths/formats (project-local where supported; user-global configs stay multi-project safe).

Addresses #366 (multi-agent / MCP install path). Rename from that issue is intentionally out of scope here.

Test plan

  • bun test tests/install-ide.test.ts tests/multi-agent-optimal.test.ts tests/mcp-tools.test.ts tests/memory-tool-service.test.ts tests/serve-mcp-health.test.ts tests/runtime-discovery.test.ts
  • opencode-mem install --ide auto --cwd "$PWD" writes expected host configs
  • opencode-mem serve --cwd "$PWD" then opencode-mem status shows healthy runtime + agent coverage
  • From Cursor/Claude MCP: memory_search / memory_get / memory_write hit the shared serve
  • OpenCode with healthy serve attaches (no second ONNX/Turso owner)

Add MCP-first multi-agent support so Cursor, Claude, Codex, Gemini and
other harnesses share one local memory runtime without per-host hooks.
Close the main multi-agent continuity gap vs claude-mem without per-host hooks: progressive timeline recall plus project priming rules so MCP-only agents call memory at session start.
…pture handling

Implement a more robust memory management system that includes session tracking for multi-agent continuity. This update introduces enhancements to capture scheduling, ensuring that work is preserved across concurrent idle sessions, and improves the overall reliability of memory recall during agent interactions.
…nitions

Refactor the IDE detection and priming modules to import from a new catalog structure, enhancing organization. Additionally, consolidate platform source definitions to derive host labels from the install catalog, ensuring consistency across IDE lists and reducing redundancy in the codebase.
…DE detection

Introduce a new test suite for platform source functionalities, including normalization and resolution of environment variables. Additionally, implement tests for detecting installed IDEs based on home layout, ensuring accurate identification of available tools. Enhance shared runtime bridge tests to verify routing of memory tool commands through the bridge.

Enhance documentation for adding new coding-agent hosts, outlining the necessary steps for integration. Refactor MCP runtime imports to a unified path, improving code organization and maintainability. Remove deprecated MCP runtime client code, ensuring compatibility with the new structure. Update related tests to reflect these changes.
Refactor the installation command in documentation and code to replace the deprecated `--ide` flag with `--host`, enhancing clarity and consistency across the project. Update related tests and ensure backward compatibility by retaining `--ide` as an alias. Adjust MCP runtime client imports for improved organization and maintainability.
…e functionality

Refactor the import paths for the shared runtime bridge and related components to improve code organization. Update the SharedRuntimeClient interface to include new methods for executing tools, ensuring compatibility with the revised API structure. Additionally, enhance the handling of MCP and runtime API routes in the web server, streamlining the response process. This update also deprecates the old shared-runtime-bridge module, directing users to the new structure.
Replace the catch-all src/services/ layout with domain folders (memory,
storage, runtime/http, hosts/opencode, ai, infra, user-profile, shared)
so multi-host and domain code stay navigable without a monorepo split.
