Before → after, light and dark. Close changes 26→28px; the other actions retain 32px. Exact product markup in an isolated fixture with local state; authenticated dragging and backend replacement were not exercised.

Search controls now use shared Button geometry. Close grows from 26px to 28px; the other three actions remain 32px. Colors, corners, labels, disabled conditions, event handlers, keyboard logic and drag boundaries are unchanged.
All workspace type checks, import/API validation, lint and the complete EMCN suite pass. All 138 search consumer tests pass. Isolated exact-markup fixtures cover light/dark, hover/focus, expanded and disabled states, 20px text and a 390px viewport. Authenticated workflow dragging and backend replacement were not exercised in the browser. Screenshots and audit tooling are outside the PR.
Both external linters ran against the actual target: eight targeted overrides removed (835 → 827 total findings), no added full-scan findings, and zero diff-checker violations. No linters or review artifacts are included.
