Replace the two-paragraph stub with a landing page: a hero backed by live figures, a three-layer diagram of the project drawn from the package registry, a card grid for the governance documents, and the NumFOCUS sponsorship panel. The page is a layout of its own, selected by `layout = "landing"`, so the prose pages under /about keep using list.html.

Excellent refresh of the About page @Zethson : it is intuitive, informative, and beautiful. small comment, clicking the About button on the top menu just opens the menu, doesnt lead anywhere. I like this behaviour even thought I noticed myself clicking it like 3 times 😅 I really like this structure visualization, however I do find the boxes somewhat empty. What if we add the github profile pictures into the boxes? That would not work because of the overlap between core and core dev. This also lead me to think that what if we show this overlap here? To represent the variety of responsibilities different members uphold? Not sure if this is too much detail. Maybe add the github profiles in both compartments in a redundant way? Either way, I am not sure, just thinking out loud. Feel free to ignore 😄 This menu is super nice! LATM: Looks amazing to me |
