Small samples could overwrite supplied bandwidths, ignore
rho, or select a bandwidth that excluded every observation. R could also return misleading inference when its local polynomial fit was unidentified. This change fixes those cases across R, Python, and Stata, corrects Python bandwidth/subset input handling, and records the behavior changes inCHANGELOG.md.It also brings the previously unmerged July Stata SSC corrections into
main: corrected author names inrdplot, updated help PDFs, and the distribution date. The branch includes the currentmainbuild-dependency update.Validation: 71 Python tests, 49 R checks, and 23 Stata 16 cases passed. Seventeen shared numerical cases agreed across implementations; existing within-language numerical baselines were unchanged. Repository metadata and Stata manifest checks also passed. This PR does not publish a PyPI or CRAN release.
