…on fails. pgadmin-org#10600 The request was sent from inside the state updater, so the revert in its catch handler had no effect, server cursor's context value was never reverted, and a 200 response with status false was treated as success. The request is now sent outside the updater, both failure cases revert the checkbox (and server cursor), and execute option requests are sent one at a time with the menu items disabled whilst a change is in flight, so that concurrent read-modify-writes of the session's transaction object cannot overwrite each other.

WalkthroughThe Query Tool serializes execution-option requests and treats ChangesExecution-option updates

sendExecOption and checkMenuClick are memoised once, so they captured the first render's Query Tool context and, after a connection change replaced the transaction, kept sending execute option changes (and server cursor updates) to the old, dropped transaction id. Read the context from a ref at the moment each queued request is sent instead.

- Around line 96-97: Move the `queryToolCtxRef.current` update in `MainToolBar`
from render into a layout effect that depends on `queryToolCtx`, so queued
callbacks only read context from a committed render.

Changing auto commit, auto rollback or server cursor from the execute options menu never reverted the checkbox on failure, because the request was sent from inside the
setCheckedMenuItemsupdater and the.catchonly reassigned a local. Server cursor'supdateServerCursorcontext value was not reverted either, and a 200 response withstatus: false(transaction or connection check failed) was treated as success.changeQueryExecutionSettingsnow rejects onstatus: false, so the restore path from Restore the internal settings of individual tab of query tool #9603 benefits too.checkMenuClicksends the request outside the state updater and, on failure, reverts the checkbox andupdateServerCursor, then saves the tab state so it matches the server. This touches only
MainToolBar.jsxand its spec, so it is independent of #10599 (#10598), which changes the initialise request inQueryToolComponent.jsxand the backend.Test plan
MainToolBarRestore.spec.js: option sent, reverted on a rejected request, reverted onstatus: false, and menu items disabled (and further clicks ignored) whilst a request is in flight; 3 fail without the change.regression/javascript/sqleditorspecs pass (91 tests); eslint clean on the changed files.Closes #10600
