[Feature] Reading file from WebDAV Nginx server - #34
Adds opt-in process-file storage to the Application Builder container. Files are stored under /data/processes/<app>/<filename>.xml; manifest.xml is reserved and is not treated as a process.
The SPA loads files using ?process=<app>/<filename>.xml. The Save toolbar action appears only when PROCESS_FILES_ENABLED=true. New models save as <model.id>/<model.id>.xml; already-loaded models save back to their original path. When an ETag check detects a conflict, the user can reload, overwrite, or cancel. This check is best-effort: Nginx DAV cannot make the subsequent PUT conditional, so simultaneous writers can still race.
npm run build: passed, with existing bundle-budget and CommonJS warnings.
sh -n entrypoint.sh scripts/container-smoke-test.sh: passed.
The full npm test -- --watch=false suite is blocked by existing spec compilation errors, including missing @angular/flex-layout, a mismatched angular-resize-event export, and outdated test constructors/imports.
npm run spell reports existing vocabulary issues across source files; npx cspell README.md passes.
The Docker smoke test was not run because Docker is unavailable in this environment.

Summary by CodeRabbit
New Features
Optionally store and load process files from mounted container storage. When enabled, you can save changes and choose to reload, overwrite, or cancel when a file conflict is detected.
Existing URL parameters are retained while navigating between modeler and form sections, supporting links that carry process or model information.
Bug Fixes
Loading a process or model from a link now avoids prompting about saved drafts first.
- add query parameter handling across router navigation.
- Deleted `application-builder-prod.k8s.yaml` and `application-builder-uat.k8s.yaml` Kubernetes deployment configurations.
- Introduced `queryParamsHandling: 'preserve'` for router navigation in multiple components.
- Added `ProcessFileService` to handle file-related services and logic.
- Enhanced conflict handling for process files with a new dialog component.
- Updated Dockerfile to use `nginx-unprivileged` with additional configuration changes.
- Integrated support for `processFilesEnabled` runtime flag.
- Refactored `importFromXml` to optionally preserve current process and skip navigation.
- Added new unit tests for `ProcessFileService`.
- Modified `entrypoint.sh` script and configuration to improve containerization setup.
…ment
- Rename `/data/process` to `/data/processes` throughout for consistency.
- Add support for `PUID` and `PGID` environment variables to control file ownership.
- Update documentation and examples to reflect new path structure and process flow.
- Improve error handling for invalid or root user configurations.
- Add `curl` installation to Dockerfile for testing purposes.
…nfig
- Add condition to set `nginx_globals` for root user in `entrypoint.sh`.
- Remove unused `/processes/` location block in `process-files.nginx.conf`.
The pull request adds optional mounted process-file storage to the container and modeler, including process loading, saving, and conflict handling. It also preserves query parameters during navigation, adds container smoke checks, updates multi-platform image builds, and removes Kubernetes manifests.
The container configures Nginx routes and storage permissions for optional mounted process files. Development proxy settings route /env.js and /processes, and the environment template exposes the storage flag.
Process-file API and validation src/app/modeler/services/process-file/*
ProcessFileService validates paths, lists and loads process files, tracks the current file, and checks ETags before saving. Tests cover path validation, listings, loading, and save outcomes.
Process loading and query navigation src/app/app.component.ts, src/app/modeler/modeler.component.ts, src/app/modeler/model-import-service.ts, src/app/tutorial/tutorial-service.ts, src/app/dialogs/*, src/app/form-builder/*, src/app/modeler/*
The modeler loads process XML from query parameters and supports clearing or preserving current process state during imports. Navigation across the modeler, form builder, dialogs, and tutorial now preserves query parameters.
The modeler adds a save tool and a dialog for changed, missing, or existing files. The smoke test checks mounted-file operations and ownership, and the README documents storage settings and behavior.

The container entrypoint may leave root-owned nginx files that stop the non-root server from starting or from saving process files. Fix this before merging. Smaller issues affect draft restore on direct process URLs, toolbar mode activation after tutorial navigation, the documented smoke-test command, and unauthenticated write exposure on the optional storage route.

When a preserved query parameter is present, NavigationEnd.url does not equal the plain Mode.url value. The subscription then skips activate(), so the toolbar mode can remain stale after tutorial navigation.

Pin the QEMU image by digest.
The action defaults to tonistiigi/binfmt:latest and runs that image with --privileged. A replacement image can compromise the runner and its Docker Hub credentials. Set the image input to a reviewed immutable digest. (raw.githubusercontent.com)

Consider pinning third-party actions to reviewed commit SHAs.
Mutable tags can change the action code executed by the release workflow if an upstream tag is retargeted. Pinning the actions would reduce supply-chain risk. This repository does not currently enforce full-SHA pins, and existing workflows already use mutable tags, so this is a recommended security refactor rather than a major issue.

Make nginx startup compatible with capability-restricted containers.
setcap cap_net_bind_service=+ep /usr/sbin/nginx requests a file capability. If NET_BIND_SERVICE is absent from the container bounding set, the unconditional nginx -t invocation can fail with EPERM before the server starts. This affects --cap-drop=ALL and Kubernetes drop: [ALL].
no-new-privileges prevents nginx from gaining the file capability. The entrypoint then runs nginx as UID 101, while the server listens on port 80, so startup can fail when nginx attempts to bind the port.
Document the required NET_BIND_SERVICE capability, or configure nginx and the container to use an unprivileged port such as 8080.

Add response-hardening headers. Writes need no authentication.
Any client that reaches the container can PUT XML files here. The same origin then serves them back as application/xml. A stored XHTML-in-XML document can run script if a victim opens its URL in a browser. The README says to use this only on a trusted instance. Add defensive headers anyway. Content-Security-Policy: sandbox disables script in directly opened documents. Apply the same headers to the listing locations. Consider requiring authentication or an IP allow-list in front of PUT.
Proposed fix
add_header Cache-Control "no-store" always;
+ add_header X-Content-Type-Options "nosniff" always;+ add_header Content-Security-Policy "sandbox" always;
limit_except GET PUT { deny all; }
Based on learnings: before flagging a file-serving route, check whether protection or headers are supplied elsewhere. Private files without such protection need nosniff and a safe delivery policy.

Set a body size limit. client_max_body_size 0 disables it.
An unauthenticated client can PUT an unbounded body. The body is written to a temp file and then to the mount. This can fill the disk. Process XML files are small, so use a finite limit.

Wait for initial navigation before restoring drafts.
AppComponent.ngAfterViewInit runs before Angular’s default non-blocking initial navigation completes. On a direct URL such as ?process=..., the router snapshot can still lack the query parameters, so the guard can be skipped and the draft dialog can open. Restoring the draft clears the loaded file state, imports the draft, and navigates to /modeler. A later Save can then use the model ID path instead of the opened file path.
Move the existing draft-restore logic into offerDraftRestore(), including the process and modelUrl check.

# NGINX Unprivileged Docker Image
This repo contains a series of Dockerfiles to create an NGINX Docker image that runs NGINX as a non root, unprivileged user. Notable differences with respect to the official NGINX Docker image include:
* The default NGINX listen port is now `8080` instead of `80` (this is no longer necessary as of Docker `20.03` but it's still required in other container runtimes)
* The default NGINX user directive in `/etc/nginx/nginx.conf` has been removed
* The default NGINX PID has been moved from `/var/run/nginx.pid` (prior to NGINX 1.27.5) and `/run/nginx.pid` (NGINX 1.27.5 and later) to `/tmp/nginx.pid`
* Change `*_temp_path` variables to `/tmp/*`
Check out the docs for the upstream Docker NGINX image for a detailed explanation on how to use this image.
## Supported Image Registries and Platforms
### Image Registries
You can find pre-built images in each of the following registries:
* Amazon ECR - https://gallery.ecr.aws/nginx/nginx-unprivileged
* Docker Hub - https://hub.docker.com/r/nginx/nginx-unprivileged
* Note: For releases prior to NGINX 1.31.7 (mainline branch) and 1.30.6 (stable branch), use the old registry link https://hub.docker.com/r/nginxinc/nginx-unprivileged
* GitHub Container Registry - https://github.com/nginx/docker-nginx-unprivileged/pkgs/container/nginx-unprivileged
* Note: For releases prior to NGINX 1.27.4 (mainline branch) and 1.26.3 (stable branch), use the old registry link https://github.com/orgs/nginxinc/packages/container/package/nginx-unprivileged
* Quay - https://quay.io/repository/nginx/nginx-unprivileged
### Image Builds and Retention Policy
#### Image Builds
New images are built whenever there is a new NGINX release or a critical CVE is found and fixed (check the security documentation for more details). New images are also built and pushed to all registries on a weekly basis every Monday night. Whenever a new image is built, the current NGINX mainline and stable tags get switched to the latest build, and the image that gets replaced will become untagged. If you wish to point your builds to a specific image over time, use the specific image digest instead of the tag.
#### Image Retention Policy
Untagged images on Amazon ECR and the GitHub Container Registry are cleaned up on a two year basis. Untagged images on Docker Hub are not cleaned up at this time (this might change with the incoming storage changes). Untagged images on Quay are continuously removed due to its built in garbage collector. The last built tag of every release is kept indefinitely in every of the aforementioned registries.
### Architectures
Most images are built for the `amd64`, `arm32v5` (for Debian), `arm32v6` (for Alpine), `arm32v7`, `arm64`, `i386`, `mips64le` (for Debian), `ppc64le` and `s390x` architectures. OTel images are built for `amd64` and `arm64`.
## Troubleshooting Tips
* If you wish to use a different user ID and/or group ID when running the Docker Unprivileged image, rebuild the image using the following Docker build arguments:
docker build --build-arg UID=<UID> --build-arg GID=<GID> -t nginx-unprivileged .
* If you override the default `nginx.conf` file you may encounter various types of error messages:
* To fix `nginx: [emerg] open() "/var/run/nginx.pid" failed (13: Permission denied)`, you have to specify a valid `pid` location by adding the line `pid /tmp/nginx.pid;` at the top level of your config. NOTE: NGINX 1.27.5 will complain about permissions for `/run/nginx.pid` due to a policy change for this path.
* To fix `nginx: [emerg] mkdir() "/…[truncated]</excerpt>

# nginx/nginx-unprivileged repository overview
This repo contains a series of Dockerfiles to create an NGINX Docker image that runs NGINX as a non root, unprivileged user. Notable differences with respect to the official NGINX Docker image include:
* The default NGINX listen port is now `8080` instead of `80` (this is no longer necessary as of Docker `20.03` but it's still required in other container runtimes).

New images are built and pushed to on a weekly basis (every Monday night).
Check out the docs for the upstream Docker NGINX image for a detailed explanation on how to use this image.
Note: Issues related to security vulnerabilities will be promptly closed unless they are accompanied by a solid reasoning as to why the vulnerability poses a real security threat to this image. Check out the `SECURITY` doc for more details.
#### Supported Image Registries and Platforms
##### Image Registries
You can find built images in the following registries:
* GitHub Container Registry - https://github.com/nginx/docker-nginx-unprivileged/pkgs/container/nginx-unprivileged
* Docker Hub - https://hub.docker.com/r/nginx/nginx-unprivileged
##### Platforms
Most images are built for the `amd64`, `arm32v5` (for Debian), `arm32v6` (for Alpine), `arm32v7`, `arm64v8`, `i386`, `mips64le` (for Debian), `ppc64le` and `s390x` architectures. Alpine slim images are only built for `amd64` and `arm64v8`.
#### Common Issues
* If you overrive the default `nginx.conf` file you may receive the message `nginx: [emerg] open() "/var/run/nginx.pid" failed (13: Permission denied)`, in this case you have to add the line `pid /tmp/nginx.pid` into your config.

Accepted values: on or off<br>
&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;master_process on;<br>
Default value: on<br>
If enabled, Nginx will start multiple processes: a main process (the master process) and worker processes. If disabled, Nginx works with a unique process. This directive should be used for testing purposes only, as it disables the master process — thus, clients will not be able to connect to your server.

&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;pcre_jit on;<br>
Enables or disables the Just-In-Time compilation for regular expressions (PCRE from version 8.20 and above), which may speed up their processing significantly. For this to work, the PCRE libraries on your system must be specifically built with the --enable-jit configuration argument. When configuring your Nginx build, you must also add the --with-pcre-jit argument.

Run nginx -t as the selected runtime user.
The current command can prevent the container from starting. Nginx 1.31.8 creates /tmp/nginx.pid during nginx -t with root ownership and mode 0644. The later non-root startup opens the same file with O_TRUNC, which can fail with permission denied. The same test can create /tmp/client_temp with mode 0700, which can also block DAV request-body buffering.

Review comment at @entrypoint.sh at line 46:
Run the nginx configuration test in entrypoint.sh as the selected runtime user,
using the existing process_uid and process_gid values so files created by nginx
-t are accessible to the later non-root startup.

Description
Adds opt-in process-file storage to the Application Builder container. Files are stored under
/data/processes/<app>/<filename>.xml;manifest.xmlis reserved and is not treated as a process.The SPA loads files using
?process=<app>/<filename>.xml. The Save toolbar action appears only whenPROCESS_FILES_ENABLED=true. New models save as<model.id>/<model.id>.xml; already-loaded models save back to their original path. When an ETag check detects a conflict, the user can reload, overwrite, or cancel. This check is best-effort: Nginx DAV cannot make the subsequent PUT conditional, so simultaneous writers can still race.Process storage is disabled by default. See the README usage notes.
