2.0.0 (#25687, e04c9b5) documents the current behavior in the README (engines, type mapping, limits, security). A Keep a Changelog file is still a reasonable follow-up, not a blocker.

Current master e04c9b55 still has no changelog file. Opened #25688 with a Keep a Changelog CHANGELOG.md for 2.0.0 (compare links use e04c9b55 because there is no v2.0.0 tag yet). This issue can close when that PR merges.
