Summary

Follow-up to microsoft/azurelinux#19752, which promoted the image-test tools to Base.

Trigger fresh builds of the two image-tool components whose Base promotion has not reached Production. Preview Base already contains both, but Production still publishes the existing RPMs in Builddeps.

  • Bump guestfs-tools from 1.55.6-6.azl4 to 1.55.6-7.azl4.
  • Bump supermin from 5.3.5-9.azl4 to 5.3.5-10.azl4.
  • Generated with azldev component update --bump guestfs-tools supermin; upstream commits, overlays, and Base routing are unchanged.

AB#24671

Validation

  • Both x86_64 packages built successfully with their existing %check suites enabled. Guestfs-tools: 60 passed, 64 skipped, zero failures/errors.
  • Inspected the built RPM payloads and verified their output routing to rpm-base.
  • Installed the newly built RPMs in an isolated mock chroot using only Preview Base for repository dependencies. Supermin preparation, ext4/vfat/btrfs appliance creation, virt-inspector, read-only guestmount, and guestunmount passed; dependency checks passed.
  • Targeted EditorConfig and whitespace checks passed. Post-commit lock update and rendering reported no changes; worktree is clean.
  • ARM64 binaries were not rebuilt locally. Production publication of the new releases remains to be verified after merge.

Trigger fresh builds so the promoted components are published to Base.

  • Increments both lock files’ manual-bump counters and refreshes their input fingerprints.
  • Reports successful x86_64 builds and smoke tests; ARM64 builds and Production publication remain unverified.
