## Estimating Your Maia Units Needs {#estimating-maia-units}

The number of Maia Units a prompt consumes depends on the task you ask Maia to perform. Small, focused changes consume few units. Tasks that involve multiple steps, such as running and validating your app, consume more.

The table below shows how many Maia Units some example prompts currently consume. Use these examples as a reference when you estimate how many Maia Units your organization needs each month.
