This adds documentation for the piece-emu core, an emulator for the Aquaplus P/ECE handheld.
The core info file is already in libretro-core-info (piece_libretro.info). I'm currently working on making the core source code compatible with Buildbot.
Following "Adding a new core" in the README:
docs/library/piece.md: new core page based ondocs/meta/core-template.mdmkdocs.yml: added under a new "Aquaplus" section, between "Apple" and "Arcade Emulation"docs/guides/core-list.mddocs/development/licenses.md(MIT)docs/meta/see-also.md: no related coresdocs/guides/softpatching.md: softpatching not supporteddocs/guides/retroachievements.md: achievements not supporteddocs/library/bios.md: no BIOS needed (the P/ECE kernel is part of the.pficontent)A note on the content model: a
.pfiis not a per-title ROM. It is a user-assembled image of the P/ECE flash, closer to a hard disk image for a computer core, that holds the kernel plus any number of applications. The page explains this, along with how.srmsaves relate to the loaded image, because it affects how per-content features (saves, playlists, per-game overrides) behave.Checked locally with
mkdocs build(mkdocs 1.6.1, mkdocs-material). It produced no new warnings except the git-revision-date notice for the then-uncommitted page.Upstream repository: https://github.com/autch/piece-emu
