Owner decision: langx.io presents LangX Copilot as part of Pro, in beta, and never mentions Free with it. This replaces what #295 wrote ("a beta on Free and Pro", "on both plans", "Pro's daily allowance is larger"). The docs.langx.io side is langx/docs#62.

Rules applied:

  • Copilot is part of Pro / a Pro feature, in beta. The four help names stay, and so does the "Copilot · Beta" label.
  • Free is never mentioned with Copilot: no "Free and Pro", "on every plan", "a larger allowance" or "every verified account". Also never "Pro only", "not on Free" or "Free can't use it".
  • Allowance: only "a daily allowance of answers, and the app shows how many are left". No numbers.
  • Still forbidden: "rolling out", "coming soon", "may not be on for your account yet", "private", "only you see it". Anthropic stays named where the copy says what is sent.

Each changed line

Where Was (#295) Now
faq.ts "What is LangX Copilot?" (also /faq, /llms.txt) "in the app now as a beta on Free and Pro… Every plan has a daily allowance, Pro's is larger, and the app shows how many answers you have left." "part of Pro as a beta… It comes with a daily allowance of answers, and the app shows how many are left." The four helps, Anthropic, consent, Settings, Report and the copilot.langx.io link are unchanged
plans.ts /plans comparison "Copilot · Beta": Free "Daily allowance", Pro "Larger allowance" "LangX Copilot": Free shows the same dash as the other Pro features, Pro shows "Beta" (as the app's paywall draws it, not a tick)
plans/+page.svelte FAQ "What does Pro add?" "a beta on both plans, and Pro's daily allowance is larger" "Pro also includes LangX Copilot, the AI helper in the chat, as a beta."
compare/+page.svelte FAQ "a beta on Free and Pro" "part of Pro as a beta"
llms.txt/+server.ts Copilot link "four helps, a beta on Free and Pro" "four helps, part of Pro as a beta"
WelcomeBack.svelte "in the app now as a beta, on Free and Pro" "part of Pro now, as a beta" (prettier reflowed the paragraph)
features.ts (rendered nowhere) "on Free and Pro"; tag Beta "An AI helper in the chat that waits for your tap."; tags Pro and Beta
Blog: memrise, bilingua, babbel, praktika, speak "(a beta, on Free and Pro)" "(part of Pro, in beta)"
Blog: bilingua FAQ, ai-conversation-partner, duolingo-alternatives "a beta on Free and Pro" / "in the app as a beta on Free and Pro" "part of Pro as a beta"
Blog: best-language-exchange-apps-2027 Table "Copilot, a beta on Free and Pro"; "What is new" and FAQ "in the app as a beta on Free and Pro"; "Everything else listed here is available to everyone too:" "Copilot, a beta in Pro"; "part of Pro as a beta"; "The core of LangX is unchanged:" (the old sentence implied something about who has Copilot either way)
Blog: best-language-exchange-apps-for-beginners Table "Copilot (beta) helps you write"; "still a beta, on Free and Pro" "Copilot (beta, in Pro) helps you write", in line with Tandem's "AI toolkit on Pro" in the same column; "the AI helper in Pro, is still a beta"
AMA and v2 posts, the 25 October update notes "in the app as a beta, on Free and Pro" "part of Pro as a beta" / "now part of Pro, as a beta"
PRODUCT.md, docs/seo/writing-guide.md (writer guidance) "a beta on Free and Pro… Pro's is larger"; "a larger Copilot allowance" in the Pro list The new rule as listed above, including the plan-table rule; Pro list says "LangX Copilot (beta)"

Unchanged, because they don't mention Free: the drawbacks and cons lines that say Copilot "is still a beta", the Header and Footer links from #296, and the 2024 AMA body (history).

For the reviewer

  • The Free cell is a dash, and its screen-reader label is "Not included", the same as the gender/city and who-viewed-you rows and the app's own paywall. You allowed this ("the same mark as other Pro-only features"). It does sit awkwardly with Free accounts getting a small taste. The alternative is to drop the row and keep Copilot to the FAQ.
  • Grep of the whole repo for "Free and Pro", "both plans", "larger allowance", "verified email" and "every plan" next to Copilot: nothing left except the "never say" rules and plan-level titles ("Plans and pricing: Free and Pro").

Checks

  • Node 22: npm run check (0 errors, 0 warnings) and npm run build (exit 0).
  • npx prettier --check on every changed file: clean.
  • The built site has no "Free and Pro", "allowance is larger", "rolling out", "only you see it" or "private AI help" in any Copilot line.
  • Checked in npm run dev: the /plans row, and the Copilot text on /faq, /plans, /compare, /welcome-back and the 2027 post.

The owner decided langx.io presents LangX Copilot as a Pro feature in beta
and does not mention Free with it. Every line #295 wrote as "a beta on Free
and Pro", "on both plans" or "Pro's daily allowance is larger" now says it
is part of Pro, as a beta; the FAQ keeps the four helps, what goes to
Anthropic, Settings and Report, and says only that there is a daily
allowance and the app shows what is left.

The /plans row is now "LangX Copilot", with the same dash on Free as the
other Pro features and "Beta" on Pro, as the app's paywall draws it. The
features card gets its Pro tag back. The 2027 post's "Everything else is
available to everyone too" becomes "The core of LangX is unchanged", so it
implies nothing about who has Copilot. PRODUCT.md and the SEO writing guide
carry the new rule, including never "Pro only" or "not on Free".
