Hi, I'm Austin β aka @holyaustin π
I build software at the intersection of Web3, blockchain, full-stack engineering, artificial intelligence, and real-world problem solving.
I'm particularly interested in using technology to build systems that are more transparent, verifiable, accessible, and useful β from blockchain-powered applications and digital payments to AI-driven research and intelligent information systems.
I also enjoy research, teaching, open-source contribution, and learning by building.
I'm building CACK-pass, a Web3-enabled event ticketing and management platform designed to make live-event access more transparent and verifiable.
The project explores:
- π« NFT-based event tickets
- βοΈ Blockchain-verified payment records
- π³ Fiat and crypto payment integration
- π° USDC payments on Arc
- π Wallet-based payments with Privy
- π§Ύ Event, ticket and order management
- π Verifiable ticket ownership
- π Payment reconciliation and auditability
- π¦ Organizer payment and payout workflows
- π Accessible event ticketing for emerging markets
The goal is simple:
Make event access more trustworthy, transparent, and rewarding for organizers and attendees.
Beyond software development, I'm actively involved in Computer Science research and teaching.
My research interests include:
- π€ Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning
- πΎ AI for Agriculture
- π Social Media Analytics
- π Data Mining & Intelligent Information Systems
- π§ Explainable AI (XAI)
- πΈοΈ Graph-based Intelligence
- π Cybersecurity & Digital Trust
- π³οΈ AI-assisted misinformation and deepfake detection
- π Technology for African and Nigerian development challenges
I am particularly interested in turning real-world problems into research questions and practical computing solutions.
Some of my recent research directions include using social media analytics for organic farming export market intelligence and exploring intelligent systems for agricultural, cybersecurity, healthcare and information-integrity challenges.
I'm also an educator and Computer Science lecturer.
I enjoy breaking down difficult technical concepts into understandable ideas and helping students and developers move from "I don't understand this" β "I can build this."
I'm especially interested in teaching:
- Programming
- Web development
- Blockchain development
- Artificial Intelligence
- Software engineering
- Research methodology
- Open-source development
My blockchain journey started with smart contracts and decentralized applications, and has evolved toward building complete blockchain-enabled systems.
- Solidity
- Smart contract architecture
- ERC-1155 / NFT systems
- EVM-compatible networks
- Blockchain payment verification
- Wallet integration
- Gasless/meta-transactions
- Web3 application architecture
- On-chain/off-chain data reconciliation
- Blockchain security and auditability
- Hardhat
- ethers.js
- Privy
- IPFS
I'm especially interested in using blockchain where it genuinely adds value, rather than adding blockchain simply because it is available.
I build modern web applications using technologies such as:
- Next.js
- React
- TypeScript
- JavaScript
- Node.js
- MongoDB
- REST APIs
- Tailwind CSS
- HTML5
- CSS3
- Git & GitHub
My current full-stack work increasingly focuses on Next.js App Router, API routes, MongoDB Atlas, payment integrations, wallet infrastructure and production-ready Web3 applications.
I'm increasingly contributing to open-source projects and learning how production software is built collaboratively.
Recent contribution work has included projects involving:
- React/TypeScript frontend architecture
- Transaction orchestration
- Custom React hooks
- Express middleware
- Cryptographic signature validation
- Stellar blockchain development
- Testing and debugging
- GitHub issues and pull requests
I believe one of the best ways to become a better developer is to read, understand, improve and contribute to real codebases.
Also: ethers.js β’ Privy β’ IPFS β’ ERC-1155 β’ EVM β’ Arc β’ Lisk
Also: Terminal β’ GitHub Actions β’ REST APIs β’ PWA β’ Tailwind CSS
I'm still learning β and that's intentional.
Research. Build. Break. Understand. Improve. Repeat.
I enjoy exploring new technologies, reading technical documentation, investigating difficult bugs, experimenting with new architectures, and contributing to projects outside my comfort zone.
I write about technology, programming, blockchain, research and things I'm learning along the way.
