…a, Sol and Luna, Gemini 4 Argon and 3.8 Flash, GLM 5.3 on Fireworks and Qwen 3.8 Flash; Opus 5.5, GPT-6 Astra, Gemini 4 Argon and GLM 5.3 are the provider defaults; the weekly sync keeps authored flags, comments and row order, warns when a pin hides a successor, retires a generation by prefix, and its validate job ignores the build stamp The weekly models.dev sync had been failing on every scheduled run since at least 2026-09-28: the validate job rebuilds the snapshot and diffs it, and build_snapshot stamps `generated` with the build time, so the diff was never empty. The check now ignores that one line (git diff -I). Four more defects in the sync script, each with a test that was watched go red first. preferLocal never carried thinking_always_on, rejects_forced_tool_choice or implied_aspect_ratio, so the bot's PR #3 would have put Opus 5.5 back on the thinking "disabled" and forced tool_choice paths that 400 on it; a reflection test now fills every CatalogModel field and fails on the next one someone forgets. A pin hides every unpinned sibling in its family, newer ones included, which is why claude-fable-5-1, claude-sonnet-5-5, claude-haiku-5-5 and gemini-3.8-flash never appeared in a weekly diff; the sync now prints `warn <provider> pinned X hides newer Y (date)` for a strictly newer hidden sibling and stays quiet for dated variants of the same release. A rewrite went through yaml.Marshal and threw away every authored comment (minimax.yaml lost 190 lines in one run) and re-sorted the rows, which also made unchanged providers show as changed every week; the writer now transplants comments from the previous text onto the re-encoded nodes and keeps the file's row order, appending new rows at the end. And `excluded` grew a trailing-`*` prefix form, pinned ids immune, because once the GPT-5-era pins moved on, every retired family surfaced its newest remaining member and the exact-match list could not keep up. The lineups. Anthropic pins claude-fable-5-1 (2026-09-01), claude-opus-5-5 (default, Anthropic's own recommendation), claude-sonnet-5-5 (2026-09-28) and claude-haiku-5-5 (2026-10-07) and excludes fable-5, sonnet-5 and haiku-4-5; Fable 5.1 and Sonnet 5.5 carry the two Opus 5.5 refusal flags, Haiku 5.5 is authored at its base band with the over-100K rates in a comment. claude-desktop follows. OpenAI defaults to gpt-6-astra with gpt-6.1-sol and gpt-6-luna, the GPT-5 generation retired by prefix, Daybreak excluded as an access programme. Google defaults to gemini-4-argon (launch pricing, flagged for a re-check), replaces the deprecated 3.7 Flash with 3.8 Flash, drops the deprecated 3.5 Flash, and moves the image rows to the GA ids. Fireworks moves to glm-5p3 and glm-5p3-fast with glm-5p2 kept one generation back. Qwen 3.8 Flash replaces 3.7 Flash. openrouter is regenerated by the sync (306 to 331 rows). anthropic, google and openai were CRLF in the index and are LF now. The README documents the pin-shadow rule and the prefix form.
