The plugin now has a repository of its own, genclass-dev/genclass-plugin: the plugin folder at the root, marketplace files for Claude Code, Codex and Cursor that point at that root, the Gemini CLI manifest, the licence, and a workflow that re-syncs it daily from main. node packages/mcp/scripts/plugin-repo.mjs <dir> (npm run plugin-repo -w @genclass/mcp) assembles it; nothing there is edited by hand.

Why: Anthropic's directory stops validating a repository whose GitHub archive is over 50 MiB (ours is 51 MiB); Codex, Gemini CLI, gh skill and the skills CLI clone or read a whole repository for one plugin; and Gemini CLI and gh skill read the latest GitHub release first, which in this repository (v0.2.1, 2026-10-11) predates the plugin, so gemini extensions install and gh skill preview fail against GenClass-lib and work against the small repository.

Also:

  • .agents/plugins/marketplace.json: the Codex-native marketplace at this repository's root (Codex already read .claude-plugin/marketplace.json; verified with Codex CLI 0.154).
  • The install lines (src/clients.ts, both READMEs) name the small repository: /plugin marketplace add genclass-dev/genclass-plugin, codex plugin marketplace add genclass-dev/genclass-plugin + codex plugin add genclass@genclass, gemini extensions install https://github.com/genclass-dev/genclass-plugin, npx skills add genclass-dev/genclass-plugin, gh skill install genclass-dev/genclass-plugin genclass. The marketplace in this repository still lists the plugin.
  • The skill's frontmatter names its licence (license: Apache-2.0).
  • manifests.test.ts checks the Codex file and the assembled tree (plugin byte-identical, every version package.json's, nothing the directory blocks or holds).
  • docs/adoption/listings/mcp.md: the directory submission names genclass-plugin; a section on the skill and plugin directories.

Checks run here: npm run typecheck -w @genclass/mcp, npm run build -w @genclass/mcp, npx vitest run in packages/mcp (147 passed), claude plugin validate --profile directory on the assembled tree (nothing to report), and local installs of the assembled tree into Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, gh skill and the skills CLI, each removed afterwards. No model-visible text changed.

- packages/mcp/scripts/plugin-repo.mjs assembles it: the plugin folder at the root, marketplace files for Claude
Code, Codex and Cursor that point at that root, the Gemini CLI manifest, the licence, and a workflow that re-syncs
the repository daily from main. Why a second repository: Anthropic's directory stops validating a repository whose
GitHub archive is over 50 MiB (ours is 51); Codex, Gemini CLI, `gh skill` and the skills CLI clone or read a whole
repository for one plugin; and Gemini CLI and `gh skill` read the latest GitHub release first, which here predates
  the plugin.
- .agents/plugins/marketplace.json: the Codex-native marketplace at this repository's root (Codex already read the
  Claude one).
- The install lines (src/clients.ts, both READMEs) name the small repository; the skill's frontmatter names its
licence (the Agent Skills field `gh skill publish` recommends).
- manifests.test.ts checks the Codex file and the assembled tree: the plugin byte-identical, every version
package.json's, nothing the directory blocks or holds (no symlinks, system files, files over 256 KiB).
- docs/adoption/listings/mcp.md: the directory submission names genclass-plugin; a section on the skill and plugin
directories, with what is automatic and what the owner submits.
