Summary

The migrated source client cannot yet be released: all eleven public npm packages are absent, npm-publish is unconfigured, and prerequisite audits and dependency migrations remain incomplete.
Record the verified state and the publication and installation handoff.
Stacked on #205 (feat/staging-version-canaries).

Reasoning

The owner confirmed the changelog audit is incomplete and deferred the remaining Pi dependencies to later work.
Publication remains blocked; a healthy no-release endpoint and intercepted staging installations do not establish real installation readiness.

Changes

  • Record the exact candidate commit, ancestry, package inventory, registry responses, and GitHub release state.
  • Identify unmet release prerequisites and the existing local smoke coverage gap.
  • Define the required source, workflow, npm, R2, and HTTP evidence for activation.
  • Document the future exact-version canonical npm installation path for clients still using Pi discovery.

Testing

  • npm run check: passed.
  • ./test.sh: passed with live E2E disabled.
  • Anonymous registry inspection: all eleven package requests returned HTTP 404.
  • Cloud npm run probe:production: passed for no-release, Render readiness, and anonymous auth rejection.
  • Documentation only; no release or installation acceptance is claimed.

- Preserve verified publication prerequisites and owner deferrals
- Define release evidence and the canonical installation handoff
