Brings all dev dependencies up to their latest versions, except where blocked upstream (see below). One commit per upgrade so each is easy to review or revert.

Majors

  • vite 7 → 8 — vite.config.ts now uses import.meta.dirname (__dirname is unsupported by Vite's native config loader)
  • vite-plugin-dts 4 → 5 — outDir option renamed to outDirs. Emitted .d.ts file set is unchanged; verified a consumer typechecks against dist/ with both node10 and bundler resolution
  • typescript 5.9 → 6.0
  • @testing-library/jest-dom 6 → 7, jest-fetch-mock 3 → 4
  • globals 16 → 17, eslint-plugin-react-refresh 0.4 → 0.5

Plus all minor/patch updates (react 19.3, @tanstack/react-query 5.104, jest 30.5, typescript-eslint 8.71, prettier 3.9, …).

Other changes

  • Removed @vitejs/plugin-react — it was never registered in vite.config.ts
  • Declared @eslint/js — eslint.config.js imports it, but it was only present transitively via eslint 9 (eslint 10 drops it)
  • ESLint ignores **/build — the example app's local CRA build output was being linted

Held back

Package Reason
typescript 7 typescript-eslint requires <6.1, ts-jest requires <7
eslint 10 eslint-plugin-react 7.37.5 (latest) crashes on it (context.getFilename removed) — tried and reverted
@types/node 26 CI runs Node 22 (.nvmrc); kept on latest 24.x
vite 8.3.2, globals 17.13.0 Published <24h before this update; held at 8.3.1 / 17.12.0 (and rolldown 1.2.11), in line with pnpm's default minimumReleaseAge (see #69)

Notes

  • vite-plugin-dts 5 doesn't forward its typescript peer to unplugin-dts (yarn peer warning). Harmless with the node-modules linker.
  • example/ (CRA / react-scripts 5) is not touched here.

Verification

Clean yarn install --immutable, then yarn lint, yarn test (94/94) and yarn build all pass with no warnings.

Use import.meta.dirname in vite.config.ts, as __dirname is unsupported
by Vite's native config loader.

It was never registered in vite.config.ts; the library build does not
need a React transform since TSX is handled by esbuild/oxc natively.

Rename the outDir option to outDirs. The emitted declaration file set is
unchanged.

TypeScript 7 is not yet supported by typescript-eslint (<6.1) or
ts-jest (<7).

…lugin-react-refresh to v0.5

eslint.config.js imports it directly, but it was only available as a
transitive dependency of eslint 9. ESLint 10 no longer ships it.

The example app's CRA build output was being linted locally.

The example resolved its own react-query (5.90) while the linked library
resolved the root one (5.104), loading two copies. A QueryClient from one
with a QueryObserver from the other fails with
"query.isFetched is not a function". Link it like react and react-dom.

vite 8.3.2 (and its rolldown 1.2.12) and globals 17.13.0 were published
less than 24h before this update. Stick to releases that have been out
for at least a day, in line with pnpm's default minimumReleaseAge.
