  • Right-click → "Ping address…" sets what latency is measured against, like 1.1.1.1 or your router, instead of always 8.8.8.8. It's saved and used from the next second, no restart. 8.8.8.8 stays the default.
  • Only a plain IPv4 or IPv6 address of one device is taken. .NET would read "1.2.3" as 1.2.0.3 and "010.1.1.1" as 8.1.1.1, and a name like google.com would add a lookup to every reading. Anything else beeps and says why under the box, and screen readers read it out.
  • A new address starts the graph, stats, and outage clock fresh. The tooltip and Copy say "Latency to" it.
  • Replies are remembered per address, so one that has never answered on this network reads "No replies on this network yet. It or the address may block ping." instead of "Waiting for a reply" for good.
  • A name or typo put in the settings file by hand falls back to 8.8.8.8.

- Add "Ping address…" to the context menu; the address is saved with the other settings
- Accept only literal IPv4/IPv6 addresses; reject names, zones, ports and leading zeros
- Reset latency history and the outage clock when the address changes
- Track replied networks per address, so a new silent address isn't shown as an outage
- Mention the ping address and bits/bytes casing in the README
