Summary

  • Pin every action to a full commit SHA, with the exact release tag noted beside it. The major versions stay the same.
  • Set persist-credentials: false on every actions/checkout, so the token is not left on disk.
  • Give each workflow an explicit top-level permission set: contents: read for CI and an empty set for deploy. Job-level permissions are unchanged.
  • Remove the local npm publish scripts and the notes about them. Releases go through the publish workflow; version:bump, version:sync and prepublishOnly stay.

publish.yml is not touched.

Test plan

  • CI is green on this PR.

Pin every action to a full commit SHA with the exact release tag noted,
stop leaving the checkout token on disk, and give each workflow an
explicit minimal top-level permission set.

Releases go through the publish workflow, so the local publish scripts
and the notes about them are no longer needed.
