This is the public home for Code2MP4 documentation, release announcements, downloadable desktop builds, and product feedback. The current desktop product is developed independently in a separate, closed-source codebase.

Available features, compatible Agents, operating systems, and known limitations are specified for each published build. This page does not announce an unreleased capability as a finished release.

Code2MP4 began as a small open-source experiment. A subsequent desktop product was independently developed in a separate codebase and has continued to evolve.
The early source is preserved in the legacy-open-source branch under its original Apache License 2.0. It is a historical prototype, rather than a second maintained edition of the current product. Its old setup instructions and demos describe that prototype.
The default branch contains public documentation and release metadata. GitHub's source-code archives of this branch contain those public materials. Desktop installers are separate assets on the Releases page.
The public documentation uses Apache License 2.0. Historical source and notices remain available with the archived prototype. The independently developed desktop application is closed-source; its distributed license terms and third-party notices accompany each published build. See Licensing.
