Summary

  • Adds American Express's Intent Intelligence framework (published 13 Oct 2026, part of the ACE Developer Kit) to the agentic protocol capability map, rated partial throughout since no specification or public repository was found
  • Flags it (and Baselayer KYA, Stripe SPT) as having no public repository in the capability map legend, and adds it to the traction charts' no-data rows/panels
  • Adds -no-notes variants of each traction chart (same data, without the "Not covered by this chart" footer box)
  • Updates protocol-stack-2026-10.md's capability counts and Kind table, since adding Amex as a partial owner moves "receipts and dispute evidence" from single-owner to partial overlap

Ported from fraseragain/authrty-agent-id-market-overview (the working copy of this capability map). Applied only the Amex-related content rather than a blind file sync, since this repo's PROTOCOLS.md and README.md had already diverged on unrelated details (a different relative link for the PAP research note, a "Protocols and traction" section, and different documented window sizes for the PNG render command).

Test plan

  • python3 generate.py runs cleanly and its stats ({'gap': 1, 'overlap': 12, 'partial': 18, 'single': 14}) match the updated counts in protocol-stack-2026-10.md
  • python3 traction/render.py writes all 8 SVGs (4 charts × with/without notes) without errors
  • Rendered both capability map PNGs via headless Chrome and visually confirmed the Amex chip, legend asterisk and footnote render correctly with no cut-off content
  • Rendered all 4 traction charts (with and without notes) and visually confirmed Amex Intent Intelligence appears in the no-data rows/panels and the main grid is unaffected by removing the notes box

…action charts

Amex published its Intent Intelligence framework for agentic commerce (13 Oct
2026, part of the ACE Developer Kit) with no public spec or repository, so it
is rated partial throughout and flagged alongside Baselayer KYA and Stripe SPT
as having no public repo in the capability map legend, and added to the
traction charts' no-data rows/panels. Also adds no-notes variants of each
traction chart (same data, without the "Not covered by this chart" box) for
cases where that footer isn't needed.

Ported from fraseragain/authrty-agent-id-market-overview (the working copy of
this capability map), applying only the Amex-related content rather than a
blind file copy, since this repo's PROTOCOLS.md and README.md had already
diverged on unrelated details (a different relative link for the PAP research
note, a "Protocols and traction" section, and different documented window
sizes for the PNG render command).

…hange

Adding Amex Intent Intelligence as a partial owner moves "receipts and
dispute evidence" from single-owner to partial overlap (it previously had
only AP2 as a full owner and no partial co-owners), and adds it to three
other partial lists. Updated the capability counts and the two Kind rows
to match what generate.py now reports.
