Docker-based development environment for the Wayang hackathon.
Environment provides Java 17 and Maven through a container, mounts the wayang source tree for development, persists the Maven dependency cache, and handles windows CRLF line endings for the Maven wrapper.
I've tested the environment by successfully building wayang-commons, wayang-platforms and wayang-assembly distribution.
Participants only need git and docker desktop installed locally

Thank you @mohit-devlogs. Please create a folder "hackathon-CoC2026" and move all files related there. Also add detailed instructions in the .md file so that I can test the docker environment.

Also the docker files do not contain any platform as far as I could see so I'm not sure how one can run Wayang. Make sure you are able to run Wayang within the docker environment with at least Java, Spark, and PostgreSQL. Later we can add more platforms.

Hi @zkaoudi, sorry for the delayed response.
I’ve updated the Docker environment to include a real PostgreSQL service and verified that Wayang can actually execute a plan across PostgreSQL, Java, and Spark inside the container.
I also added a smoke test covering this flow and am currently cleaning up the documentation so the environment is reproducible for hackathon participants.
I’ll push the updated changes to the PR shortly.

Hi @zkaoudi,
I’ve updated the Docker environment based on your feedback and pushed the changes here.
I also published a pre-built image to GHCR so participants can pull the image instead of building the Wayang distribution during setup. I tested the participant flow end-to-end: the image pull took about 12 minutes on my machine, the Wayang and PostgreSQL containers started successfully, and I verified a Wayang plan executing across PostgreSQL, Java, and Spark.
The PR is now ready for review. The pre-built image is available at ghcr.io/mohit-devlogs/wayang-hackathon:latest
