Without a configured directory, SimplePassivater wrote passivated bean state straight into the shared java.io.tmpdir. It now uses a private, owner-only directory under java.io.tmpdir; a configured path prefix works as before. Setting openejb.stateful.passivation.shared-tmpdir=true restores the old location, which should go into the release notes.
