Congratulations, and LGTM I think the org feature is good to show it's not just a few vendors but yeah it's on committers to remember to update when they change job (I know I've forgotten :p) |

I could try to refresh some of the obviously stale org affiliations with AI assistance, and then ping people to confirm that I got the updates right. Should I try that in a new PR, or should I just leave it be? In other words, do we want to try as a team of committers to keep the organizations up-to-date, or do we just leave it completely self-reported? |

I think we should just leave the committers to update on their own :-). |

OK, that's fine with me. As a point of contrast, I saw in #586 that @dongjoon-hyun updated some of the affiliations and pinged people to confirm, which is why I thought to do the same. In any case, I'll leave things as-is and we can discuss further on the dev list if we want to develop a more formal policy about maintaining up-to-date committer organization affiliations. |
Adding myself to the committers page.
For a future effort: I wonder if we should refactor this page somehow. The authoritative listing of committers is tracked by the ASF on the Spark Committee page. Maybe we should pull from there dynamically? Or just link to that page? The organizations are also stale for several committers, even though having them is nice because it shows the diversity of companies invested in Spark.
