- Around line 96-100: Update ConvertJSONValue to choose numeric bind types using
column metadata: return int64 only for integer column types and decimal text for

Select the named _id component before falling back to the last component.
GetByIds accepts any repeated BsonValue order, but mongoIDPart always selects the last element. A valid multi-part request with _id before another component can therefore query MongoDB with the wrong value. buildIdFilter already identifies _id by name.

Allow source values for generated and non-primary-key identity columns.
ListData uses SELECT *, and prepareSourceDocument does not remove generated or identity fields. planPostgresUpsert then rejects supplied non-primary-key fields when Generated || Identity, which can reject a PostgreSQL-to-PostgreSQL initial sync.
Ignore supplied non-primary-key stored-generated fields so the destination recomputes them. Include supplied identity fields and apply OVERRIDING SYSTEM VALUE when required, not only when the identity field is a primary key. Keep strict rejection only as an explicit option if needed.

The sink must undo the _id alias that the source applies.
prepareSourceDocument handles a non-PK _id column in two steps:
- It moves the original value to
idAliases[namespace], for example_id2. - It writes the generated Mongo ID into
_id.
The sink does not undo this. Assume the source and destination tables have the same schema, for example dsync_live.source_nonpk_id in both databases:
bsonToMap(..., c.hasIDColumn[namespace])keeps the generated_id. For a composite key, that value is a gob binary or the PK value.- The alias field also reaches
planPostgresUpsert. If the alias column does not exist, every document fails withcolumn "_id3" does not exist. In the test fixture, the source alias is_id3. - If the alias column happens to exist, the real
_idcolumn gets the generated ID instead of the original value. This corrupts the data without an error.
As a result, Postgres → Postgres sync is blocked for any table that has a non-PK _id column.
Fix: when c.idAliases[namespace] != "", move document[alias] back to document["_id"] after decoding. If the alias is absent, delete the generated _id. Apply the fix in both WriteData and WriteUpdates.
🐛 Proposed helper
func (c *conn) restoreAliasedID(namespace string, document map[string]interface{}) {
alias := c.idAliases[namespace]
if alias == "" {
return
}
if v, ok := document[alias]; ok {
document["_id"] = v
delete(document, alias)
} else {
delete(document, "_id")
}
}Call it right after each bsonToMap call at Line 1088 and Line 1198.
