I've changed settings to allow merging without approval or checks. Anyone feel free to submit another PR to fix whitespace and other BS :) |

Can't flag this as an approval any more, post-merge, but these changes are all no-brainers.
In my view, it's perfectly fine to ignore the linting errors on stuff you didn't touch—some of which is 5, even 13, years old. Seems like the linter only checks changed files, but if it's possible to "go deeper" and have it only check touched lines that'd be nice.
