🎯 What: Refactored the excessively long cmd_install function in python-installer/techscript/__main__.py into small, focused helper functions (_detect_and_verify_platform, _handle_existing_install, _download_package, _install_and_configure, and _verify_and_print_result).
💡 Why: Breaking down long functions improves readability, maintainability, and testability while keeping existing behavior unchanged.
✅ Verification: Added comprehensive unit tests in python-installer/tests/test_main.py covering cmd_install and helpers, verified with python3 -m unittest, and verified workspace tests with cargo test --workspace --all-targets.
✨ Result: Reduced cmd_install from 100+ lines to a concise orchestration function of ~15 lines, making the installation pipeline modular and easier to maintain.
