Hi, I'm Stepan

Backend developer and 3rd-year Computer Science student at HSE University — Perm. I worked at T1 on a brokerage services project using Java, PostgreSQL, Redis and Docker. My main focus is backend development with Java / Spring Boot and C# / ASP.NET Core.

Alongside university and work, I build my own products and backend systems. I’m especially interested in APIs, databases, system architecture, payments, AI-assisted development and turning prototypes into working products.

I’m a two-time ICPC semifinal prize winner. Before focusing on backend, I spent a lot of time on algorithms and competitive programming. I also actively use AI coding tools and agent systems to prototype faster, automate routine work and explore larger codebases.

Outside IT, I've been playing volleyball for about 12 years, dance bachata and read about investing, psychology, technology and business.

Currently interested in

Backend engineering roles and projects involving Java/.NET, databases, distributed systems, product development and AI-assisted engineering.
