Here, we provide a pre-configured cloud-based environment for the VirtualShip software, via GitHub Codespaces. This environment has the software and dependencies pre-installed, allowing you to run VirtualShip simulations without the need for local installation.
Full details on how to use this workspace can be found in the VirtualShip documentation: Simulation Workspace Guide.
Tip
To spin up a new workspace instance, look for the green button above labelled Code. Click on this button and select the Codespaces tab. Then click on the +/Create codespace on main button to launch your cloud-based environment.
We also provide a pre-configured cloud-based environment for post-processing VirtualShip results, via Binder. This environment builds a JupyterLab workspace with the necessary Python package and tutorial notebooks for analysing and visualising simulation data, without the need for local installation.
Full details on how to use this workspace can be found in VirtualShip documentation: Post-processing Workspace Guide
