Brings the README and llms.txt in line with the published 1.9.0 package (dist/*.d.ts and dist/*.js). Documentation only: no code or package metadata changes.

Setup and requirements

  • React Native >= 0.65, not 0.64. @react-native-async-storage/async-storage@2.2.0, the oldest version ^2.2.0 allows, declares react-native: ^0.0.0-0 || >=0.65 <1.0.
  • Install the native dependencies in the app, pinned to the SDK's majors. React Native CLI autolinking (@react-native-community/cli-config findDependencies) only reads the app's own package.json. A bare npm install @react-native-async-storage/async-storage now installs 3.x, and 3.x registers its native module as RNAsyncStorage, while the SDK's 2.x looks up RNCAsyncStorage. The old llms.txt line saying the dependencies "are included automatically" is gone.
  • iOS: added the required AppDelegate methods (openURL and continueUserActivity) that forward links to RCTLinkingManager, in Swift and Objective-C, plus the SceneDelegate note. Without them, Universal Links never reach JavaScript.
  • Android: the intent filter example now sets android:launchMode="singleTask".
  • The AASA and assetlinks.json files are served by the LinkForty server, from IOS_TEAM_ID/IOS_BUNDLE_ID and ANDROID_PACKAGE_NAME/ANDROID_SHA256_FINGERPRINTS on Core. The old README said to host them yourself.

Configuration and API

  • The hosted base URL is https://api.linkforty.com. llms.txt said go.linkforty.com.
  • appToken is required on the hosted service. apiKey is only needed for createLink().
  • init() must be awaited before onDeepLink(). onDeepLink() throws without init(), and one registered while init() is still running only recognizes links on the baseUrl host.
  • Documented trackRevenue, setExternalUserId/getExternalUserId, CreateLinkOptions.externalUserId, CreateLinkResult.deduplicated, and the autoTrackNavigation/navigationRef config rows.
  • trackEvent has no offline queue: a failed send is logged and dropped.
  • Self-hosted Core differences: createLink() needs a templateId (Core has no POST /api/sdk/v1/links), and links are looked up on the baseUrl host only (Core has no link-domains endpoint).
  • New "Data collected" section, taken from what the code sends and stores.
  • llms.txt: clearData() is no longer suggested for user logout, because the next launch reports a new install.
  • Troubleshooting: @types/react-native is a deprecated stub, so it was removed from the instructions. Added a section for a missing native module.

The README samples type-check (tsc --strict) against the packed 1.9.0 dist/index.d.ts, with one exception. The autoTrackNavigation samples fail with @react-navigation/native 7, because createNavigationContainerRef() is not assignable to NavigationContainerRefLike: Route.params is Readonly<object | undefined>, not Record<string, unknown>. That needs a type fix in the SDK and is not part of this PR.

…s.txt

- Require React Native 0.65+, the floor set by AsyncStorage 2.x
- Install AsyncStorage 2.x and device-info 15.x in the app itself, since
  autolinking only links an app's own dependencies and AsyncStorage 3.x
  registers a different native module name
- Add the AppDelegate / SceneDelegate step that forwards links to
  RCTLinkingManager, and launchMode="singleTask" on Android
- Explain that the server serves the AASA and assetlinks.json files
- Use https://api.linkforty.com for the hosted service, mark appToken as
  required there, apiKey as only needed for createLink()
- Await init() before onDeepLink()
- Document trackRevenue, setExternalUserId, externalUserId, deduplicated,
  the lack of an offline event queue, and the data the SDK sends
- Note what differs on self-hosted Core (createLink templateId, link hosts)
