Closes #1404.

Problem: the frontend sends plan_id (frontend/src/api/history.ts:22, from viewPlanHistory), but parseHistoryFilters never read it. As a result, the plan-history view listed every in-scope purchase, and its totals (#1200) summed all of them.

Change:

  • parseHistoryFilters reads plan_id through parseHistoryPlanID. A value that is not a UUID returns 400 invalid plan_id: must be a UUID. The limit parsing moves into parseHistoryLimit so the function stays within gocyclo.
  • PurchaseHistoryFilter.PlanID is applied in three places, all with parameterised SQL:
    • purchaseHistoryFilterWhere, for the history rows and the purchase half of the summary;
    • executionSummaryQuery, for the execution half of the summary;
    • matchesExecution, for the actionable and terminal execution rows.
  • The link columns are purchase_history.plan_id and purchase_executions.plan_id. The plan predicate is ANDed with the existing account and provider scope, so it only ever narrows the results.
  • No frontend change: the request parameter is already sent and already covered by api-history.test.ts.

Tests:

  • Handler tests check that plan_id reaches both the row filter and the summary store filter, that a bad value returns 400, and that an absent value sets no filter.
  • A real-Postgres integration test uses two plans and one row with no plan. It checks the rows and totals per plan, plan plus account narrowing, and the unfiltered result.
  • Dropping the plan clause from the summary execution query fails the integration test (3 rows instead of 1). Dropping the UUID validation fails two handler tests.

Local:

  • go build ./... passes.
  • go test -race passes on api and config.
  • go test -tags integration ./internal/config/ passes on testcontainers Postgres.
  • pre-commit passes.

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • New Features
    • Added history filtering by plan ID across purchase listings and execution summaries.
  • Bug Fixes
    • Invalid plan IDs and non-integer history limits now return a client error. Empty or non-positive limits use the default, and oversized limits are capped.
  • Tests
    • Added coverage for plan ID filtering, combined account filters, summary counts, and invalid IDs.

The plan-history view requests /api/history?plan_id=<uuid>, but
parseHistoryFilters never read it, so the view listed and totaled every
in-scope purchase instead of the plan's own.

Parse plan_id (400 on a non-UUID) and apply it to the purchase_history
row listings (purchase_history.plan_id), the summary aggregate's
purchase and execution halves (purchase_executions.plan_id), and the
in-memory execution filter. The predicate is parameterised and ANDed
with the account and provider filters, so it narrows and never widens
the caller's scope.

Also split the limit parsing out of parseHistoryFilters to keep it
under the gocyclo limit.

Walkthrough

History requests can now filter purchase rows and execution summaries by an optional UUID plan_id. Invalid values return a 400 client error. The API also extracts history limit parsing into a helper.

Changes: History plan filtering

Layer / File(s) Summary
Parse and propagate the plan filter
internal/config/types.go, internal/api/handler_history.go, internal/api/handler_history_plan_filter_test.go
The API parses and validates plan_id, applies it when matching synthesized executions, and forwards it to history row and summary filters. Handler tests cover valid, absent, and invalid values, execution matching, and filter propagation. Limit parsing moves into parseHistoryLimit.
Apply the plan filter in PostgreSQL
internal/config/store_postgres.go, internal/config/store_postgres_history_summary.go, internal/config/store_postgres_history_plan_filter_integration_test.go
Purchase-history queries and execution-summary queries add an exact plan-ID predicate when a plan ID is set. Integration tests cover plan and account filters, unknown plans, and an empty plan filter.

Full details: Out of Scope Changes check

Explanation

All listed changes relate to the plan_id filter in #1404. They cover the handler parsing and validation, the three filter applications in internal/config, the new PurchaseHistoryFilter.PlanID field, and the tests for these changes. The limit-parsing extraction into parseHistoryLimit is a refactor. The PR description says it was needed to keep parseHistoryFilters within the gocyclo limit, so it supports the same change. The frontend diff at the reviewed head is empty, so no unrelated frontend change was added. The summary does not show any unrelated file or behavior change.

Full details: Linked Issues check

Explanation

Issue #1404 requires four coding items: (1) parse plan_id and return 400 for a non-UUID value; (2) apply the filter to the history list and summary totals; (3) add a handler test; (4) add a Jest test that the plan-view request returns only that plan's rows.

Items 1 to 3 are supported by the PR summary and description. parseHistoryFilters reads plan_id through parseHistoryPlanID. PurchaseHistoryFilter.PlanID is applied in purchaseHistoryFilterWhere, executionSummaryQuery, and matchesExecution. handler_history_plan_filter_test.go adds handler tests. The integration test in store_postgres_history_plan_filter_integration_test.go covers per-plan rows and totals. I did not read the handler or store code directly. These conclusions rely on the summary and the PR description.

Item 4 is not met by this PR. The whole-PR diff under frontend/ is empty at the reviewed head, so no Jest test was added. The PR description says the existing api-history.test.ts covers the request parameter. The file is at frontend/src/tests/api-history.test.ts. I did not read it, so I could not confirm that it asserts that the plan-view request carries plan_id. The PR also does not claim a Jest test for the plan-view filtering, which the issue explicitly requests.

Resolution

Add a Jest test for the plan-history request. Place it in frontend/src/tests/ (for example, in api-history.test.ts or history.test.ts). The test must call viewPlanHistory with a UUID plan ID. It must assert that the outgoing request includes plan_id set to that UUID. If the existing api-history.test.ts already asserts this, state the test name in the PR description so reviewers can confirm the coverage.

Independent review 1 (cold, fresh context):

VERDICT: APPROVE 03a3e0a

Findings:

  • minor internal/api/handler_history.go:810 (parseHistoryPlanID) + :911 (matchesExecution) - uuidRegex (validation.go:30) accepts uppercase hex and the raw value is kept; SQL compares against UUID columns (case-insensitive), while matchesExecution compares strings against the lowercase canonical exec.PlanID - plan_id=UPPERCASE returns the plan's purchase rows and counts its executions in the summary (SQL), but drops every execution row from the list and approval queue (Go). Frontend sends lowercase IDs from the API, so only hand-built URLs hit it; fix with strings.ToLower (or uuid.Parse().String()) in parseHistoryPlanID. Same latent pattern exists for account_ids (pre-existing).
  • nit internal/api/handler_history_page.go:253-266 - plan filter is Go-only on the terminal-execution stream and actionable class, while idx_purchase_executions_plan_date (migration 000002:19) exists - a plan view with few rows scans every terminal execution batch to the end of the stream on each page; pushing PlanID into HistoryExecutionsPageQuery would let SQL use the index. Correct today, perf only; provider/account have the same pre-existing shape.
  • nit internal/api/handler_history.go:810 - no TrimSpace unlike parseAccountIDs (validation.go:543); " " is a 400 rather than accepted. Strict is fine, just inconsistent.

Attacked:

  • Completeness: grep of parseHistoryFilters/PurchaseHistoryFilter/ListPurchaseHistoryPage/GetPurchaseHistoryFiltered. Consumers: paged purchase rows (fetchPurchaseHistory -> purchaseHistoryFilter -> purchaseHistoryFilterWhere, store_postgres.go:2683), summary purchase half (same where), summary execution half (executionSummaryQuery, history_summary.go:108), terminal-exec stream rows (page.go:266 matchesExecution), actionable rows (handler_history.go:213 matchesExecution). Summary exec loop uses matchesExecutionProviderAndAccount, correct since plan is in SQL there. Cursor pages: frontend loadMoreHistory re-sends paging.filters incl. planId (history.ts:466). No CSV/export path for history found. Frontend totals render data.summary, which is plan-filtered.
  • Tenant scoping: plan predicate is ANDed with appendAccountPredicate; every row still passes markOutOfScope (stream) / scope.filter (actionable) / scope.allows (summary). Response is 200 for any well-formed UUID, existent or not, owned or not; no 404/403 oracle; truncated is a boolean. Foreign plan_id yields only rows the caller could already see unfiltered. No leak found.
  • SQL: parameterised ($n via add / len(args)); "' OR 1=1 --" rejected at 400 before SQL. plan_id = $n excludes NULL rows; unfiltered query includes the planless row (integration asserts 4 purchases / 3 execs). purchase_history uses partial index idx_purchase_history_plan_id (000002:26).
  • Validation: anchored regex rejects braces, urn:uuid:, surrounding whitespace, short ids; accepts uppercase (finding 1).
  • Merge: git merge-tree --write-tree origin/main HEAD clean (e6844108).
  • Tests in archive of HEAD: go test -race ./internal/api ./internal/config pass (5545); -tags integration ./internal/config pass.
  • Mutation probes (scratch, restored by cp, cmp byte-identical vs git show HEAD):
M1 drop clause in purchaseHistoryFilterWhere -> TestIntegration_HistoryPlanIDFilter FAILS (api unit pass).
M2 drop clause in executionSummaryQuery -> TestIntegration_HistoryPlanIDFilter FAILS.
M3 drop clause in matchesExecution -> TestHistoryFilters_PlanIDMatchesExecution FAILS.
    M4 drop validateUUID in parseHistoryPlanID -> TestParseHistoryFilters_PlanID, TestGetHistory_BadPlanIDIs400 FAIL.
  • Six dimensions: complete; correct for canonical input; secure (narrow-only, parameterised); bugs: case mismatch only; no duplication (reuses validateUUID); parseHistoryLimit extraction is minimal, for gocyclo.

Plan: once the second review is in, findings 1 and 3 go into one more commit here: lowercase and trim the plan_id in parseHistoryPlanID, with a test for an uppercase ID. The index nit (moving the execution-stream plan filter into SQL) is a performance follow-up.

Independent review 2 (claude-fleet, cold): APPROVE at 03a3e0a

Blocking: none.

Non-blocking:

  • internal/api/handler_history_page.go:250-256: terminal executions still get the plan filter only in Go, because HistoryExecutionsPageQuery has no PlanID. For a small plan, the stream walks every terminal execution in batches of up to MaxListLimit to fill a page. Provider and account filters already work the same way, so this is not a regression. Pushing PlanID into the page query (idx_purchase_executions_plan_id exists, migration 000002:16) would make it cheap. The same applies to the actionable class at handler_history.go:195: up to MaxListLimit actionable executions are read before the plan filter runs, so a plan's pending row can be dropped and Truncated set once more than MaxListLimit actionable executions exist.
  • Test gap, internal/api/handler_history_plan_filter_test.go:38: the "no plan filter" assertion uses an execution with an empty PlanID, so dropping the f.PlanID != "" guard in matchesExecution (probe M5a) passes every PR test. Assert that historyFilters{} keeps an execution that has a PlanID.
  • Test gap: no PR test combines plan_id with a scoped user. My scratch test below covers it. Consider landing it next to handler_history_page_integration_test.go.
  • Issue fix(history): apply the plan_id filter the plan-history view sends #1404 asked for a jest test. None was added. The PR body cites the existing frontend/src/tests/api-history.test.ts:65-70 instead, which covers the query string. I accept that.
  • Lint: golangci-lint reports one prealloc in internal/config/store_postgres_history_page_integration_test.go:141. The PR does not touch that file, and it is the same on base.

Per-surface scope table (surface / tenant scope / account scope / plan_id applied / test):

  • History rows, purchase_history (store_postgres_history_page.go:134 via store_postgres.go:2674-2694) / single-tenant deploy, no tenant column; the account scope is the isolation boundary / SQL account_ids predicate ANDed, then markOutOfScope per batch (handler_history_page.go:243, 306) / plan_id = $n, ANDed (store_postgres.go:2683) / PR config integration test, plus M3b and M8 probes.
  • Terminal execution rows (handler_history_page.go:266) / same / matchesExecutionProviderAndAccount, then markOutOfScope / Go check at handler_history.go:911 / unit test plus M6.
  • Actionable execution rows (handler_history.go:213, 83) / same / matchesExecution, then scope.filter / same Go check / M6.
  • Summary, purchase half (store_postgres_history_summary.go:160) / same / the shared where builder, then scope.allows per group (handler_history_summary.go:114-118) / shared builder / PR config integration test plus M3b.
  • Summary, execution half (store_postgres_history_summary.go:108-111) / same / matchesExecutionProviderAndAccount plus scope.allows per group (:120-135) / AND plan_id = $n / PR config integration test plus M3.
plan_id only ever narrows. It is never the only selector, and the scope check runs in Go after SQL on every surface with the same function. The handler does no plan-ownership lookup and relies on the query scope consistently on every surface. Session and API-key callers both go through requirePermission and getAccountScope (handler_history.go:22, handler_history_summary.go:38), which this PR leaves unchanged.

Cross-tenant scenario (scratch test zz_review_plan_xtenant_integration_test.go, real Postgres, PASS on head). Setup: tenants A and B. Plan P spans A and B; plan Q is B only; planless rows are in A. Each side has purchases, failed executions and pending executions.

  • Scoped A user, plan_id=P: rows are exactly A's P rows. TotalPurchases equals the row count, TotalUpfront is 300 (no B dollars), failed=1, pending=1.
  • Same request with limit=1: summary JSON is identical on every page and the union of pages equals the full set.
  • Scoped user, plan_id=Q vs a random UUID: both return empty rows and zero totals, with byte-identical summary JSON and equal truncated and has_more. No existence oracle. A malformed value is always 400, whatever exists.
  • Scoped user, plan_id=P with account_ids=B: empty rows, zero totals.
  • Admin, plan_id=P: both tenants' P rows, upfront 3300. With no filter: every row, planless ones included. Scoped user with no filter: all of A's rows, planless ones included.

Probes (head export; each restored with cp and checked with cmp, and the tree diffed clean against a pristine copy at the end):

  • M1, drop scope from the summary purchase half: my test FAILS (8 vs 5; upfront 3300 vs 300; Q summary non-zero). PR tests pass.
  • M1b, drop scope from the summary execution half: my test FAILS. PR tests pass.
  • M2, drop scope from rows (markOutOfScope returns nil): my test FAILS (10 vs 5). PR tests pass.
  • M3, drop plan_id from the execution summary half: the PR config integration test FAILS (3 vs 1) and so does my test.
  • M3b, drop plan_id from the purchase where clause: both FAIL.
  • M4, summary over the page only: my test FAILS. PR tests pass; the summary itself is pre-fix(history): apply the plan_id filter the plan-history view sends #1445 code.
  • M5a, empty plan_id matches a NULL plan in the Go exec check: only my test FAILS (the gap noted above).
  • M5b, empty plan_id adds plan_id IS NULL in SQL: both FAIL.
  • M6, drop the plan check from matchesExecution: the unit test and my test FAIL.
  • M7, skip UUID validation: TestParseHistoryFilters_PlanID and TestGetHistory_BadPlanIDIs400 FAIL.
  • M8, omit PlanID when mapping to the store filter: TestGetHistory_PlanIDReachesStoreFilters and my test FAIL.
  • Fail-before: the head tests copied into the base export do not compile there (PlanID is undefined on historyFilters and PurchaseHistoryFilter). M3, M3b, M6 and M8 are the behavioural fail-before for each surface.
    Other checks:
  • SQL is parameterised everywhere.
  • plan_id is UUID-validated before it reaches SQL (validation.go:451).
  • purchase_history has a partial index on plan_id (migration 000002:26) that serves plan_id = $1.
  • Planless rows: excluded when filtering, included when not.
  • No join between history and executions, so no duplicates.
  • The frontend sends plan_id (frontend/src/api/history.ts:22). Load more reuses the same filters. A 400 renders as an escaped error (frontend/src/history.ts:308-322).

Commands (GOTOOLCHAIN=go1.26.10, cloud credentials nulled; heavy runs under nice -n 10 lockf -k -t 3600 /tmp/claude/heavy.lock):

  • go build ./...: ok
  • go vet ./internal/api/ ./internal/config/, with and without -tags integration: ok
  • gofmt -l on the 6 changed files: clean
  • go test -count=1 ./internal/api/ ./internal/config/: ok
  • golangci-lint run ./internal/api/... ./internal/config/...: 1 issue, in an untouched file
  • go test -tags integration, run TestIntegration_HistoryPlanIDFilter (config) and TestIntegration_ZZReview_PlanFilterCrossTenant|TestIntegration_HistoryPaging|TestIntegration_HistorySummary (api): all ok on testcontainers Postgres; I confirmed my test runs rather than skips
  • jest: skipped, because frontend/node_modules is absent
  • git merge-tree --write-tree origin/main 03a3e0a: clean (tree e68441084aaf). origin/main equals the base, 2a11540.
  • No migration added.

Reviewed by an independent agent with no author context (second reviewer). Review only: nothing was pushed, and the GitHub review state is unchanged.

Trim and lowercase plan_id so the SQL predicate and the in-memory
execution check compare the same text.

Push the plan into the execution page queries (terminal stream and the
actionable class) as a parameterised plan_id predicate, so a plan view
does not walk every batch and other plans' actionable rows over
MaxListLimit cannot drop the plan's own pending row. The Go check stays
as a guard for stores that do not filter.

Add real-Postgres tests for canonical plan_id, the actionable cap and a
cross-tenant plan_id (indistinguishable from a random one), and make the
no-filter unit case use an execution that carries a PlanID.

Independent review 1, delta (same cold reviewer):

VERDICT: APPROVE e3ae7e1

Delta 03a3e0a..e3ae7e1 (one commit). merge-tree vs origin/main clean (f2234cb9).
Findings:

  • nit internal/api/handler_history.go:232 - with a plan set, the actionable class uses ListHistoryExecutionsPage ordering (scheduled_date DESC, execution_id DESC, store_postgres_history_page.go:232), not GetExecutionsByStatuses' ordering, which ranks overdue and current rows ahead of future pending (store_postgres.go:1594-1596). Failure scenario: a single plan with more than 1000 actionable executions keeps its far-future pending rows and drops the overdue ones, which are the rows the stale-expire sweep needs. incomplete=true is still set, and a real plan does not reach 1000 steps, so this is non-blocking.
  • nit internal/mocks/stores.go:1973 pageExecutionsLikeStore ignores q.PlanID, so on mocks only the Go check (handler_history.go matchesExecution) filters the plan. That is the stated reason for keeping it; a mock-path regression would still be caught by TestHistoryFilters_PlanIDMatchesExecution.
    Attacked:
    (a) Actionable switch:
  • Status set: the same actionableExecutionStatuses is passed. Both queries apply the same historyExecutionsPredicate (store_postgres_history_summary.go:19), so the same rows qualify, with clean completed rows excluded.
  • Limit: clampHistoryPageLimit(1000) equals GetExecutionsByStatuses' clamp, both MaxListLimit. The incomplete flag is unchanged.
  • Filters: After is nil, so no cursor clause. No date bounds are set, matching the old path; dates are still checked in Go.
  • Account scope: still applied in Go by scope.filter.
  • Columns: same SELECT list and same queryExecutions scan.
  • Duplicates: the actionable and terminal status sets are disjoint (handler_history.go:141,166), and the actionable class loads only when Cursor is nil, so a row cannot appear twice or go missing across pages.
  • Expired rows: the stale sweep is built from the same rows; the only change is the truncation order (nit 1).
    (b) SQL vs Go semantics: parseHistoryPlanID trims and lowercases (handler_history.go:818-828). The UUID column scans as lowercase text, so the case mismatch I reported earlier is gone. A NULL plan_id scans as "", which is excluded both by the Go != check and by SQL plan_id = $n. With no filter, both skip the check. Terminal stream: plan_id is pushed into SQL (handler_history_page.go:251), so idx_purchase_executions_plan_date can serve it, which resolves my earlier perf nit.
Cross-tenant test: a tenant-A scoped user passing tenant B's plan gets a body byte-equal to a random plan_id, with zero summary (handler_history_plan_filter_integration_test.go:133-151). This confirms no oracle.
Runs on an archive of e3ae7e1: go test -race ./internal/api ./internal/config ok; -tags integration ./internal/config ./internal/api ok.
Probe: forcing fetchExecutionsByClass back to GetExecutionsByStatuses (if false && planID != "") makes TestIntegration_HistoryPlanFilter_ActionableOverCap FAIL; the unit tests still pass. After the probe, the file was restored and is byte-identical to git show HEAD.

Independent review 2 (claude-fleet, cold): APPROVE at e3ae7e1

Delta re-review of 03a3e0a..e3ae7e1.

Blocking: none. refs/remotes/pr/1445 resolves to e3ae7e1. The first-parent log is 03a3e0a then e3ae7e1, on merge-base 2a11540, which is current origin/main.

Non-blocking:

  1. The ActionableOverCap test proves the wrong thing (handler_history_plan_filter_integration_test.go:159-162). Its seed INSERT leaves error NULL. The column is nullable TEXT (000001_initial_schema.up.sql:89), but scanExecutionRows reads it into a plain string. Any listing that touches those rows fails ("cannot scan NULL into *string"), the actionable class is dropped with a warning, and the response is flagged truncated. On 03a3e0a the test fails because of that scan error, not because of the cap. I re-seeded with error='' and it still fails on 03a3e0a and passes on head, so the fix is real. Seed error as '' so the test exercises the cap.
  2. Existing bug, not from this PR: one NULL-error execution row hides the whole actionable class for every viewer (store_postgres.go:2090 onward). Record it in known-issues.
  3. With a plan set, the cap now drops different rows. The page SQL orders by scheduled_date DESC (store_postgres_history_page.go:226), so a plan with more than 1000 actionable rows keeps far-future pending steps and drops the oldest rows. GetExecutionsByStatuses (store_postgres.go:1593-1596) was documented to drop the farthest future steps instead. My scratch test showed it: plan view kept 999 approved plus the +30d pending and dropped the older pending row; the old path kept 0 future-pending rows. Truncated is still set in both cases. It needs more than 1000 actionable rows in one plan, which is unlikely.
  4. The mock's executionMatchesPageQuery (internal/mocks/stores.go:1990-1998) ignores q.PlanID, although its comment says it follows the store contract. Unit tests stay correct only because matchesExecution filters again.
  5. No landed test catches these probes: P1b (drop "paused"), P2a (Limit 1), P2b (drop the cap-reached incomplete flag), P6b (drop PlanID from the terminal query). P6b is efficiency only, because the terminal stream follows its cursor and Go filters again. M4 survives the plan tests but is caught by the existing TestIntegration_HistorySummary_TotalsCoverAllInScopeRows and MatchesListedRowsUnderTheCap.

Old vs new actionable path (plan set; with no plan, the old GetExecutionsByStatuses call is unchanged, handler_history.go:234-235):

  • Status set: identical. Both receive actionableExecutionStatuses (pending, notified, scheduled, approved, running, paused; handler_history.go:141) as $1 under the shared historyExecutionsPredicate (store_postgres_history_summary.go:19). Nothing added or dropped.
  • Limit: both clamp to MaxListLimit=1000. Old store_postgres.go:1577-1582, new store_postgres_history_page.go:85-89 and :212.
  • Cursor: neither follows one; it is still a single page. The incomplete flag (handler_history.go:197) still feeds Truncated (:124). The crowd-out from (a) is fixed: with 1005 other-plan rows, the plan view is complete and Truncated=false; with 1005 own-plan rows, Truncated=true.
  • Dedup: none by ID in either path. The status sets are disjoint (:141 vs :165). The terminal read runs first (:44), the actionable read second (:83). Simulated transitions after the terminal read: terminal to actionable listed the row twice; actionable to terminal listed it nowhere. Both paths behave the same, the race predates this PR, and it is not introduced here.
  • Order: the final sort.SliceStable by Timestamp (:98) is unchanged. Only ties and cap victims differ (item 3).
  • Scope: scope.filter(extra) (:84) and matchesExecution (:924) still apply on the new path. Terminal rows still go through markOutOfScope (handler_history_page.go:281).

Canonicalisation: parseHistoryPlanID trims, validates with a strict hyphenated regex that allows uppercase (validation.go:30), then lowercases (handler_history.go:820-829). Every consumer reads filters.PlanID afterwards: purchase SQL (:1065), summary execution half (store_postgres_history_summary.go:108), page SQL, and matchesExecution. Both plan_id columns are UUID type (000001_initial_schema.up.sql:75 and :116), so the SQL comparison ignores case and scans return lowercase text. Lowercasing therefore matters only for the Go comparison. Because of that, "lowercase only in SQL, not in Go" is the same mutation as "skip the lowercase" (P4/P5). The response echoes no filter back to the frontend (frontend/src/api/history.ts:22 only sends it).

New SQL: plan_id = $n is a bound parameter (store_postgres_history_page.go:199-202). idx_purchase_executions_plan_date (plan_id, scheduled_date) in 000002_add_indexes.up.sql:19 matches the predicate and the ORDER BY; I reasoned from the schema and did not run EXPLAIN. Each class is one query, so there is no N+1.

Probes (scratch copy; each restored with cp and checked with cmp; afterwards the copy diffs clean against the export). FAIL means a landed test failed, named:

  • P1a drop pending: FAIL, Canonicalised, CrossTenant, ActionableOverCap.
  • P1b drop paused: survives (gap).
  • P2a page of 1: survives landed; my scratch test catches it.
  • P2b drop cap flag: survives landed; scratch catches it.
  • P3 terminal also selects actionable (duplicates): FAIL, Canonicalised, CrossTenant, ActionableOverCap.
  • P4/P5 skip lowercase: FAIL, Canonicalised.
  • P5b skip trim: FAIL, TestParseHistoryFilters_PlanID and Canonicalised.
  • P6 drop PlanID from page SQL: FAIL, ActionableOverCap.
  • P6b drop PlanID from terminal query: survives (efficiency only).
  • P7 revert the source swap: FAIL, ActionableOverCap.
  • M1: FAIL, CrossTenant.
  • M1b: FAIL, CrossTenant.
  • M2: FAIL, CrossTenant.
  • M4: survives the plan tests; caught by the existing summary suite.
  • M5a: FAIL, TestHistoryFilters_PlanIDMatchesExecution and Canonicalised.

Fail-before: the landed tests run on 03a3e0a fail TestParseHistoryFilters_PlanID, Canonicalised and ActionableOverCap (the last for the scan-error reason in item 1). CrossTenant passes there, so it is a regression pin rather than a fail-before test.

Commands (GOTOOLCHAIN=go1.26.10, credentials nulled): go build ./... ok. go vet, with and without -tags integration, on api and config: ok. gofmt -l on the changed files: clean. go test on api and config: ok. golangci-lint on api and config, both tag sets: 1 prealloc finding at store_postgres_history_page_integration_test.go:141, which already exists on main and is not in this PR. Under heavy.lock: the integration tests matching 'History' in api and config pass, the plan-filter tests and my scratch tests pass, and every probe above ran there. git merge-tree --write-tree onto origin/main is clean (tree f2234cb9). The scratch test is in ~ under scratchpad/r1445b/zz_review2_integration_test.go.

Main's LeanerCloud#1445 changed fetchExecutionsAsHistory and fetchExecutionsByClass
to route a plan_id-filtered actionable read through
ListHistoryExecutionsPage. This branch replaces that read with
GetExecutionsByStatusesFiltered, so the resolution keeps the filtered
query and the next commit carries plan_id into it.

LeanerCloud#1445 pushed the plan-history view's plan_id into SQL for the
actionable class so other plans' pending rows cannot crowd a plan's own
row out of the MaxListLimit cap. With the LeanerCloud#632 pushdown that read is
GetExecutionsByStatusesFiltered, so plan_id has to be one of its
predicates, or the plan view regresses to the LeanerCloud#1445 bug.

ExecutionsByStatusesQuery gains PlanID (exact plan_id match, as
HistoryExecutionsPageQuery has), the handler sets it from the parsed
filters, and isNarrowed counts it, so a plan view still runs the
separate unfiltered stale-approval sweep instead of expiring only the
viewed plan's stale rows. The Go matchesExecution plan check from LeanerCloud#1445
still runs on the result.

TestIntegration_HistoryPlanFilter_CrossTenant (from LeanerCloud#1445) grants the
scoped user tenant A by account name. Scope entries are account IDs on
this branch (LeanerCloud#1034), so the name allowed nothing and tenant A's own
plan came back empty. Grant tenant A's ID, as the other history
integration tests on this branch do. The cross-tenant assertions are
unchanged.

…utions read (#1464)

* feat(config): read executions by status with History filters in SQL

The History view reads its actionable executions (pending approvals and
in-flight purchases) with GetExecutionsByStatuses, capped at
MaxListLimit, and only then applies the provider, account, date and
account-scope filters in Go. Rows of other tenants or outside the
filters therefore count against the cap, so once enough of them exist a
pending approval the caller could act on is never read.

GetExecutionsByStatusesFiltered takes those filters and the scope as an
ExecutionsByStatusesQuery and applies them in the WHERE clause, before
the LIMIT. Each predicate is a superset of the handler's Go check, which
still runs, so SQL never drops a row Go would keep. The account and
scope predicates read cloud_account_id, falling back to the
recommendations' cloud_account_id when it is NULL; the scope also keeps
an unattributed row created by the caller. GetExecutionsByStatuses is
now the unfiltered case of the same query.

The mock answers from a GetExecutionsByStatuses expectation when the new
method has none, which is a valid superset because the handler filters
again.

* fix(history): push filters and scope into the actionable executions read

getHistory now passes the request's provider, account and date filters
and the caller's account scope to GetExecutionsByStatusesFiltered, so
the MaxListLimit cap on the actionable class counts only executions the
caller could be shown. Before, a scoped user's pending approval could be
crowded out by newer actionable rows of other accounts and silently not
listed. The Go filters and scope check still run on the result.

The scope is sent as the list of every account value it can allow (its
literal entries plus the UUID and external number of each registered
account it allows) and the caller's user ID; an unrestricted caller
sends none.

Expiring stale approvals is not narrowed with it. The History load is
the only thing that expires them and releases their suppressions, so
when the actionable read is filtered or scoped, the stale rows come from
a separate unfiltered pending/notified read past the expiry window.

* fix(history): apply plan_id in the filtered actionable read

#1445 pushed the plan-history view's plan_id into SQL for the
actionable class so other plans' pending rows cannot crowd a plan's own
row out of the MaxListLimit cap. With the #632 pushdown that read is
GetExecutionsByStatusesFiltered, so plan_id has to be one of its
predicates, or the plan view regresses to the #1445 bug.

The Go matchesExecution plan check from #1445
still runs on the result.

* fix(auth): bind group account scope entries to account IDs

A group's allowed_accounts could hold an account's display name. The name
was not bound to any account, so once that account was deleted or renamed
the entry matched whichever account was later created or renamed to the
same name. #1032 limited name matching to unique names, which does not
help here: the newcomer is the only account carrying the name.

Scope entries now match by account identifier only:

- AccountScope.Allows never compares an entry with a display name. A
caller that knows an account only by name (legacy rows keyed by external
ID) still resolves through WithRegisteredAccounts to the one account
carrying that name, and that account's ID must be in the scope.
- Group create/update bind allowed_accounts at grant time: "*", account
IDs and external IDs are kept; a name exactly one registered account
  carries, inside the actor's own scope, is stored as that account's ID;
anything else is a 400. A failed account or scope load refuses the write.
- Migration 000135 rewrites existing name entries to IDs when exactly one
account carries the name and it predates the group's last write. Other
entries are left in place and no longer grant access. Down is a no-op.
- The name-only MatchesAccount and AuthContext.CanAccessAccount helpers,
which had no production callers, are removed.

Closes #1034

* test(api): scope the history-summary fixture by account ID

The history-summary integration tests from #1200 scoped their user with
the tenant's display name. This branch binds allowed_accounts entries to
account IDs and makes a bare name entry match nothing (#1034), so the
scoped user saw no tenant A rows and the totals and listed-rows checks
failed. Grant the scope by tenant A's account ID, the form group writes
now store. The assertions are unchanged.

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

* chore(db): renumber the group scope binding migration to 000149

main now ships migrations up to 000139, so 000135 would sit below
versions a deployed database has already applied and golang-migrate
would never run it. Open PRs hold 000140-000148, so this takes 000149
and must merge after that chain. The SQL is unchanged; only the file
names, header comments, test version and test fixture IDs move.

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

* chore(db): renumber bind_group_account_names_to_ids migration 000149 -> 000145

golang-migrate only applies versions above the database's current one,
so PRs must merge in migration-number order. 000140-000144 had been
taken by PRs that are now held on owner decisions (#1239, #1241,
#1253). The ready PRs move to 000140-000145 so they can merge ahead of
them, and the held ones will take the next free numbers when decided.
Rename only: the SQL statements are unchanged, and the test version
constants and the comments naming the migration follow the new number.

* test(api): register the wire-format group account for grant-time binding

TestUserGroupWrites_WireFormat came in from main (#1261) and builds a
Handler with no config store. Since #1034, group writes bind every
allowed_accounts entry to a registered account and refuse the write when
the account list cannot be loaded, so POST /api/groups answered 500.
The test now registers its account ID in a store mock, as the binding
tests do; the wire format it pins is unchanged.

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

* test(api): scope the History paging user by account ID, not name

TestIntegration_HistoryPaging_ScopedUserNeverPagesIntoAnotherTenant came
in from main (#1277) and grants the scoped user tenant A by its display
name. Since #1034 an allowed_accounts entry matches by cloud account ID
only, so that user saw none of tenant A's rows and the walk returned
only its own unscoped execution. The grant now names tenant A's ID, as
the other scope tests on this branch do; what the test asserts is
unchanged.

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

* test(analytics): scope account_ids fixtures by account ID

The account_ids analytics tests that arrived with the main merge (#1448)
grant scope by account name ("a", "b", "c"). This branch binds group
scope entries to account IDs and no longer matches an entry against a
display name (#1034), so those name entries authorize nothing and the
scoped cases got 404. List the account IDs in the scope instead, as the
other analytics scope tests on this branch already do. The assertions
are unchanged.

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

* test(analytics): scope the account_ids DB test by account ID

TestAnalyticsAccountIDs_SumsSelectedAccountsOnly_DB (from #1448) grants
the scoped user ["a", "b"], which are account names. Scope entries are
account IDs on this branch (#1034), so the name entries allowed nothing
and the in-scope query returned 404. Use the created accounts' IDs.
The foreign-id refusal assertion is unchanged.

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

* test(history): scope the plan_id filter DB test by account ID

TestIntegration_HistoryPlanFilter_CrossTenant (from #1445) grants the
scoped user tenant A by account name. Scope entries are account IDs on
this branch (#1034), so the name allowed nothing and tenant A's own
plan came back empty. Grant tenant A's ID, as the other history
integration tests on this branch do. The cross-tenant assertions are
unchanged.

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

* test(api): scope #1464's actionable History tests by account ID

#1464 landed on main with tests that scope the user by the display name
"dev" and with an executionScope case built on WithRegisteredNames. This
branch (#1034) makes name entries grant nothing and replaces that
constructor, so after merging main those tests no longer compiled or no
longer exercised the scoped path. Scope them by the account's ID, which
is what a group stores now, and pin that a name entry contributes only
its literal value to the SQL scope.

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

* fix(auth, api): bind account names to the identifier in scope checks

Review (rE7) found that an ID-scoped user could pass the purchase gate
for an account outside their scope. resolveAccountNamesByID keyed
names by both account ID and the free-text external ID in one map, so
an editor of in-scope account Z who set Z's external ID to victim Y's
ID got Z's name back for Y. AccountScope.Allows then resolved that
name to Z, which is in scope, and allowed a purchase in Y. The same
map fed the dashboard, ladder and RI reshape filters.

Decide those gates on the record's cloud_account_id itself, the ID
the purchase resolves its credentials from, and delete the dual-keyed
map. Bind the name path in Allows as well, so a name only identifies
an account through that account's own external ID and never through a
value that is some registered account's ID. Callers that pass a name
for an external ID already resolve it within the record's provider or
require exactly one owner.
