AirChess drops a full-size, real-feeling chess set onto any table, desk, or floor through your phone's camera, then lets you play it: alone, against the computer, with a coach at your shoulder, or against a friend across town.

Point your phone at a table. A glowing outline finds the surface. Tap, and a polished wooden board with all 32 pieces settles into place, anchored to the real world. Walk around it. Lean in. Look at the position from your opponent's side. It stays exactly where you put it.
No AR on your phone? The same board is waiting in 3D.
Tap a piece and its legal moves light up right on the board. Tap a square and the piece glides there, with a gentle buzz in your hand. Captures, castling, en passant, promotion: every rule of chess, enforced perfectly, so you only ever think about the game.
Stuck? Tap Hint. Stockfish, one of the strongest chess engines ever built, reads the position and draws its best move as a glowing arrow across the board itself, with an evaluation of who's winning. Turn on threat view to see which of your pieces are under attack before it's too late.
Pick your side and a difficulty from Easy to Max, and Stockfish plays back. Made a mistake? Undo takes back your move and its reply, so you can try again.
Create a game and send your friend the code. They join from the AirChess app, or tap your invite link to play right in their web browser if they don't have the app yet. On the app, they place their own board on their own table, and you play live, each from your own side of the board.
Pick a time control from 1-minute bullet to 15+10 rapid, choose your color, and watch the clocks tick down. Offer a draw, resign with dignity, or demand a rematch.
Tap Share view and you see your opponent's board exactly as they do: their room, their table, and the pieces standing on it. Their view waits in a corner of your screen; tap it to go full screen, with your own view tucked in the corner, like a video call across the board.
Sharing is off until you turn it on, either of you can stop it at any time, and nothing is recorded. There's no microphone, and only the board view is sent, never your other apps.
Close the app mid-game, and your game waits for you on the home screen. Dropped connection during an online match? AirChess reconnects you to the same game, clocks and all.
