Code Review
This pull request attempts to upgrade the base Docker image from Ubuntu 24.04 to Ubuntu 26.04. However, as noted in the review, Ubuntu 26.04 is currently unreleased and unstable, and upgrading to it is highly likely to break the build and cause compilation failures for older Python versions. It is recommended to revert this change and stick to the stable Ubuntu 24.04 LTS release.

Upgrading to Ubuntu 26.04 is premature and will likely break the build. Ubuntu 26.04 is a future LTS release (scheduled for April 2026) and is currently either unreleased or in an unstable development state. Furthermore, compiling older, end-of-life Python versions (such as 3.7 and 3.8) on newer Ubuntu toolchains and libraries (e.g., newer glibc and OpenSSL versions) is highly prone to compilation failures. Please stick to the stable Ubuntu 24.04 LTS release.
