GECKOpy version and missing dependencies #87

Open

Description

@ae-tafur

Working on python, testing GECKOpy I got this:

For the missing dependencies (solves intalling cma, but this not appears on docs-page):

/usr/local/lib/python3.13/dist-packages/geckopy/kcat_tuning/evotune/tuning.py in <module>
     63 from typing import TYPE_CHECKING, Callable, Optional, Sequence
     64
---> 65 import cma
     66 import cobra
     67 import numpy as np

For the version (Works on raven)

print(f"✅ gecko {geckopy.__version__}")

    The missing cma is fixed on develop by #88: cma is a required dependency of geckopy, and pip install geckopy installs it. geckopy.__version__ is added by #89. The installation page of the documentation still names the removed extra geckopy[evotune], and a documentation pull request follows. The fixes are part of the next release of geckopy. Until then, pip install cma resolves the import error.
