From acff0adfe959db5fc989cebab83be3d1efed6854 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Nate Gay Date: Thu, 15 Oct 2026 23:42:24 -0500 Subject: [PATCH 1/5] fix: normalize the Jev risk score by its level count Jev answers a score question on the scale of its criteria indices, so the five-level risk question returns 0..4, not 0..1. The client clamped that to 0..1, so anything at or above the "Low" level read as maximum risk and was labelled "Critical": a source-file edit scored 1.84 ("Moderate") became risk 1.0, and any shell command scoring 0.7 or more crossed askRisk. The README's example table shows the effect (risk 100% for a plain source edit). The risk is now the level divided by the top level (4), and the legend is looked up from the same level. Observed live with Jev 1.14 on OpenRouter's Decisions API, which serves the same request/response shape as the Zen System One endpoint. --- jev.ts | 11 ++++++++--- test/jev.test.ts | 19 ++++++++++++++++--- 2 files changed, 24 insertions(+), 6 deletions(-) diff --git a/jev.ts b/jev.ts index f492a46..c5164f3 100644 --- a/jev.ts +++ b/jev.ts @@ -84,6 +84,11 @@ const RISK_LEVELS = [ "Critical: destructive or irreversible (data loss, system damage)", ] +// Jev answers a score question on the scale of its criteria indices +// (0..RISK_LEVELS.length - 1), not 0..1.
