Get-ServiceStatus.ps1

<#
	.SYNOPSIS
Get the status of a given service on a given computer or multiple computers with enhanced error handling
	.DESCRIPTION
Get the status of a given service on a single or multiple computers via WMI.

The output will return to the console, with only minimal formatting to order the properties.

Exporting should be used via available Export-* cmdlets.

For large environments, it is highly reccomended to export the out to .CSV (Export-Csv)
	.PARAMETER ComputerName
Short name or FQDN of desired computer/server to query
	.PARAMETER ServiceName
Name of service you wish to query for
	.EXAMPLE
.\Get-ServiceStatus -ComputerName client01.company.com -ServiceName snmp -Verbose

Check for the SNMP service and it's associated status
	.EXAMPLE
.\Get-ServiceStatus -ComputerName server1,server2,badserver -ServiceName bits -Verbose

Check for the BITS service and it's associated status

SystemName ServiceName Status DisplayName Error
---------- ----------- ------ ----------- -----
server1 bits Stopped Background Intelligent Transfer Service
server1 bits Stopped Background Intelligent Transfer Service
badserver badserver is unreachable

	.EXAMPLE
		.\Get-ServiceStatus -ComputerName (Get-Content C:\ServiceQueryPCList.txt) -ServiceName termservice -Verbose

Check all computers in the text file for the Remote Desktop Service and it's status
	.EXAMPLE
		.\Get-ServiceStatus -ComputerName (Get-Content C:\ServiceQueryPCList.txt) -ServiceName termservice -Verbose | Export-Csv "C:\ServiceStatusReport.csv" -NoTypeInformation -Encoding UTF8

Check all computers in the text file for the Remote Desktop Service and it's status and then export that list to a .CSV file
	.INPUTS
		System.String
	.OUTPUTS
		Selected.System.Management.Automation.PSCustomObject
