ONOX Systems — Patents, IP & Micro-Income Strategy

Assigned to Research Team. Reviewed by Mario in monthly sessions. ONIX tracks progress and alerts on opportunities.


Why Patents Matter for ONOX

ONOX Systems operates at the intersection of:

  • Real-time 3D spatial rendering in the browser (WebGPU + React Three Fiber)
  • AI agent orchestration with persistent memory (ONIX)
  • Autonomous deployment and self-updating software systems
  • Spatial UI paradigms for non-technical users

These intersections create protectable IP surfaces. Even small patent filings increase company valuation, deter copying, and open licensing revenue channels.

The goal is to activate multiple small, stable income streams in parallel. Each should require minimal maintenance once set up.

Channel 1 — GitHub Sponsors

Target: €100/mo Setup:

  1. Enable GitHub Sponsors on marioperezfuertes-svg account
  2. Create sponsorship tiers: €5 (Supporter), €20 (Collaborator), €50 (Partner)
  3. Describe ONOX as open-source 3D + AI infrastructure
  4. Link from README.md

Timeline: 2 weeks to set up, 3-6 months to reach €100


Channel 2 — ONOX 3D Viewer API (Freemium SaaS)

Target: €100-500/mo Model:

  • Free tier: 100 scene loads/month
  • Basic tier: €9/mo — 1,000 loads
  • Pro tier: €29/mo — 10,000 loads + custom branding

Implementation:

  1. Add API key auth to viewer endpoint
  2. Track usage via Supabase
  3. Integrate Stripe (already available via Supabase)
  4. Landing page at onoxsystems.com/viewer-api

Timeline: Phase 3 (Q4 2025)


Channel 3 — White-Label 3D Scene Embedder

Target: €100-300/mo Model: License the ONOX 3D viewer as embeddable widget for agency/business sites

  • One-time setup fee: €200
  • Monthly hosting/support: €50-100

Clients to target: Architecture firms, real estate, product design studios (Basque Country + Spain)

Timeline: Phase 3 (Q4 2025)


Channel 4 — Digital Products (Gumroad / Lemon Squeezy)

Target: €100/mo Products:

  • ONOX 3D Starter Kit: €19 (Next.js + R3F + Supabase boilerplate)
  • ONIX Agent Config Pack: €29 (Claude rules, cursor rules, agent prompts)
  • ONOX Dev Course (future): €49

Platforms: Gumroad, Lemon Squeezy, or direct via Stripe Timeline: Phase 2 (Q3 2025) — quick wins


Channel 5 — Patent Licensing (Long-term)

Target: €500-2000/mo (18-36 months) Plan:

  1. File provisional patent applications (low cost, 12-month protection)
  2. Use patent pending status in investor/client conversations
  3. License specific methods to similar-space companies

First filing candidate: ONIX Agent Briefing Protocol (process patent) Cost estimate: €1,500-3,000 for provisional via Spanish IP office (OEPM)


IP Ownership Rules

  • All IP created by team members while working on ONOX belongs to ONOX Systems
  • Contributors must sign IP assignment agreements before merging code
  • Open-source components used must be license-compatible (MIT, Apache 2.0)
  • ONIX agent outputs (code, docs, plans) are authored by ONOX Systems

Research Process

  1. ONIX monitors patent databases (Google Patents, Espacenet) weekly for related filings
  2. Research Team reviews monthly, documents findings in STUDIES.md
  3. Mario decides which areas to file based on budget and strategic value
  4. Filing handled by local IP attorney (to be identified Q3 2025)
