Cannot Open an Example Scene!

Hi,

I’m trying to open the Example_01_SimpleLiver scene, but Unity crashes and closes as soon as I open the scene.

My environment is:

• Windows 11
• Unity 6.0 (6000.0.70f1)
• SofaUnity v25.12.00 URP

I also checked my environment variables, and I do not have SOFA_ROOT, SOFA_PATH, or any SOFA-related path entries.
Could you please help me figure out what might be causing the crash?

FYI, I've checked my environmental variable and path. But there is no something related with sofa.

Hey @eun346, did you follow the instructions on their page: https://infinytech3d.com/getting-started/?
Also this package seems to be tested on Unity 2021.3 (based on their 2 year old README) so maybe you should check it on that version first or at least 2022.3 LTS. Any latest LTS version of 2021.3 or 2022.3 should do. If it works fine then it is just obsolete code that is doing weird thing on Unity 6, hence you probably should check what is going wrong with it. Unity 6 has a lot of new APIs and made a lot of things obsolete.

For the easiest route in this case I'd suggest you to use Claude Code or OpenAI Codex to fix the compatibility issues and find out what is actually breaking - it would easily read what is happening when Unity crashes and find out the reason, but I'm 100% confident that this package is just incompatible with newest Unity versions and LLM can easily analyze it thoroughly and make it work for you.

It also can happen if package uses IMGUI, I had similar issues with it as Unity 6 editor just instantly crashes when you use them somehow unpredictably.
